Last Friday morning I placed 4 orders with various companies for home delivery.

One was delivered on Saturday and two due to be delivered today. All free postage and packaging.

I ordered a set of Lock and Lock lidded jugs from QVC, with £2.99 p&p. Order is now at the Evri hub with a 2 day delivery so I’ll probably get them on Wednesday (hopefully). I normally buy my L&L elsewhere but these were cheaper on QVC. It really pees me off that QVC have such long delivery times. It’s not as if they consolidate orders into one box, it’s all separate orders.

Last year QVC had changed their delivery - something about a warehouse reconfiguration. Thing is the deliveries are taking longer now than before - so clearly the warehouse update is not working well 😳

I bought the last L&L from QVC on TSV and they are really good. Have a decent depth for once.

Something that I ordered that was on advanced order, w/c 3rd February, is arriving today between 1pm - 3pm so it’s earlier than I anticipated. 😳 Also, an item that I ordered on Saturday (the 1st) is due today at the same time. So, I’m obviously lucky because both must have shot out of the warehouse at breakneck speed - for a change! The P&P was £3.95 for both but I didn’t mind paying that, knowing what the items are and that, for once, I couldn’t find them cheaper elsewhere.

My two parcels arrived half an hour ago. One was two days after placing the order. The advanced order one was due today to be in stock today so must have arrived at the warehouse early. Thankfully, both are keepers.

I have to say evri have left deliveries sat on my doorstep in full view of the road, not evrn knocked when leaving them there and haven't always notified me of the correct day or time of delivery! How more deliveries don't get stolen is beyond me but very many do and I can see why. Just not secure even if you allocate a safe place they are just dumped at the front door! No, I don't recommend Evri.

Generally my Evri deliveries are very good then I think someone ‘fills in’ for the usual person? I had one left outside a house up the road, I went to pick it up there was nobody at home but mine & their own parcels were lying by a gate.I picked mine up & walked off ( hoping I wasn’t on any cameras!).I did go back & leave a note to say what I’d done as there was a photo of 2 parcels on the delivery confirmation.Another time I had about 4 parcels on my doorstep which I delivered to different people in the road.

Scott, is my Evri driver. Brilliant guy never any problems knocks and waits for me to get down my stairs and answer the door, very friendly.

Oh, I know he is called Scott, as I get emails after delivery asking how he did? I always state brilliant.

My postman is now on parcels only, and he has always been brilliant. This week it is a young woman doing normal post, very friendly.
I am waiting on a Diamonique silver ring at the moment, it was on offer so coming RM. QVC did not ship it for 3 days, so hoping it comes today. Slightly worried as one review, one woman had a stone missing sent back and reordered to get another with a stone missing.

I buy quite a bit from eBay and have noticed an increase of sellers using Evri over Royal Mail

Not complaining about Evri as once they get from QVC it’s usually 1 to 2 days. My Evri driver is very good. The majority of companies I buy from, orders are despatched either the same or next day and most with free p&p. QVCs deliveries take 3 to 7 days and you have to pay p&p per item with no choice to consolidate orders.

My Evri team are superb. I’ve never had a problem with deliveries not arriving on time, barring once when illness halted the delivery but Evri let me know and it arrived the following day. I live at the bottom of a small cul-de-sac and, even when Amazon leave something on the doorstep, nothing has ever been stolen - thankfully. That’s probably because my doorstep isn’t visible from the road.

However, I now put a note on the door if I’m out so couriers know where to leave parcels, but the Evri couriers all know anyway where to leave things if my car’s not on the drive and I’m out. I’ve trained them well. 😉

My Evri delivery drivers are also very good. Always knock, never just chuck a parcel on the doormat, and the parcels are always secure and not creased, unlike Royal Mail who deliver parcels looking as though they've played footie with them. Latest excuse from postie was = 'I've got too much work to do'. Thanks, that makes me feel a lot better about taking delivery of something that looks like Norah Batty's stockings. Oddly, there was no reply to this comment.....
