Not as many brands on QVC anymore?

I remember back in the day AY saying many brands would not come to QVC because to the MBG which is now 60 days.

Some use QVC as a way to get their name out to customers then move on as they no longer need QVC, usually the beauty brands.
The Estée Lauder brands now on QVC as the brand worldwide is losing money.

Youth Dew £19.95 for one bottle and the mens pleasures £23.95 both on Amazon now if anybody interested.

Is it just me or has the number of brands that appear on QVC greatly reduced. Not seen Bose for ages and at one time they used to sell Panasonic TV’s
Bose have finally stopped making the Wave radio (I have 2) but I've never used them for blowing out candles.

I have at least a dozen Bose items (and that's just counting them in my head from memory) so probably even more. They were ALL introduced to me by QVC but only about 1/2 of them were bought from there.

And I've always been impressed by their sound and quality.

Amazon, I do order from and have Prime. But, there are different versions of items on there, one is direct from Amazon then there are 3rd party sellers. Always complaints on the moneysaving site consumer rights forum with problems with Amazon, expensive items being replaced with toilet roll, a small brick. Oh, and a number had their accounts closed because of too many returns. Amazon just shut you out and sometimes will not tell you why. When that happens, you can no longer use Prime, etc. But as people on the consumer forum say, Amazon like any retailer do not have to let you shop with them.

Currently, a customer has been shut out with £££ credit in their account. They state only returned about 5 items in so many years. One forum member said where they high-end items? So even if not that many returns if worth big money Amazon will close you down.

My experience of Amazon has always been positive. I’m a Prime member and currently get it half price as I signed-up for the student option and those days are far behind me but they don’t question age or require any proof, you just need to input a graduation date, four years ahead and it reverts to standard membership after that.

I ordered a Shark cordless vacuum a few years ago in a BF deal. It cost around £375, and I chose the rose gold finish to match my upright. They delivered the silver finish, so I checked my order, and I had definitely requested rose gold, so I asked them to return and exchange it. The courier failed to collect it on two scheduled occasions and almost two weeks later, it was still in the box and Amazon had my money, so I requested a call back from them. I slipped into my best am dram mode and told them I was a single parent (I’m not) who had three young children to feed (I don’t) with only 79 pence in my bank account (I had much more) and it was nine days until I next got paid (this bit was true). I often wonder why the customer services rep didn’t question why I was spending £375 on a vacuum cleaner given my purported circumstances – maybe they thought it and were too polite to say. Anyway, after about a minute or so of my histrionics, they interrupted to say that they don’t tolerate such poor standards of customer care, and because it was their fault that the item hadn’t been collected, they were going to refund the £375 immediately. I asked if they’d arrange a further collection of the vacuum and they told me no, and that it was mine to do as I wished with. Friends asked if I reordered the one in rose gold and I didn’t as the deal had ended and it was back to full price. They ask how I cope with them not matching and it’s not an issue as they’re kept in the cupboard under the stairs and are rarely seen out together. I’ve been a strong advocate of Shark over Dyson ever since so they did get some promotional value out of me. 😇

I will say they have only lost one item in all the years I shopped with them. It was a book, which just disappeared on route. It was a history book and cheap. They resent it, no problem.

Over the years I have bought a SilentNight mattress it was over £600 and I got if for just over £400, microwave, Philips Sonicare Toothbrush, a new Hoover vacuum, books and I use Subscribe and Save for cat food and litter. Oh, cat scratching posts, and this year Freya got the crème de la crème £44 one.

Subscribe and save is brilliant and I like how you can skip a delivery if it's not needed. I was also impressed when I got an email for them on a previous BF weekend that said they were refunding some money because a product I'd bought had reduced in price during the promotion.
Oh, yes. Mr MA had £1.99 refunded for something he’d bought, for the same reason.

The graveyard of brands is huge and they seem to struggle for direction in knowing what new brands to try. They lean heavily on a few good sellers which are flogged to death and will no doubt one day vanish with no obituary like all the rest. Sorry for the gloomy tone at this happy season🤣 merry Christmas everyone🎄
Couldn’t have put it better myself ! I think the term is overkill🤣. Ruth Langsford, Elemis, Liz Earle all spring to mind. Oh and Cozee Home

Elemis seems to be on all the time now…. One of the reasons I never watch QVC. If there’s something coming up I want I will look it up on the iPad. I’m just coming to the end of my Elemis stash now. Last bottle of shower cream almost finished and just one tub of PCMC to use and I’m done. Don’t like smug patronising Keeley and the prices plus the old stock saga have put me off.

I'm with you on this Claire, I'm done, goodbye Elemis (and Keeley) and my skin is loving Gatineau - for now!

Lulu the singer was only the BA for Time Bomb, no matter how QVC tried to push it as Lulu's Time Bomb. No doubt QVC dropped the brand when it stopped selling well and making them money.

Lulu Guinness, not sure, but I believe the company was in financial trouble and bought out? Anyway, her bags are always on sale elsewhere.

Philosophy, funny I spotted in my local TKMaxx last Saturday. Yes, litre sizes of the shampoo, bath, shower gel
