This kalorik dehumidifier seems very similar to the unbranded one I bought from QVC around a year ago. It has all the same features but the design seems to have been slightly updated. I have used the unbranded model downstairs for around a year as I live in a 250yr old cottage and it keeps the humidity low and helps me dry washing quicker. I already had a Meaco for upstairs in the winter only to stop the windows from building up too much condensation. I would say they pretty much do the same job. I am just assuming that this kalorik model is indeed the same quality as the unbranded model I bought last year.

I’m sure that you’re correct.
I bought a dehumidifier last year. It did a good job getting the moisture out of the air and also dried my dog in no time when he was wet after being shampooed.
