Ah, the brushes…. I didn’t get those last time and a couple of you sang their praises. I wonder if they’ve got them back here as well. I’ll go to Aldi if I get everything else done this weekend.

I didn’t see those jars either. They say Addis, though, so not Lidl dupes. At 99p, worth a try - I take it you bought them so do let us know. As Lidl is only 2 mins’ walk and I need to go anyway, I’ll look for one. Thanks.

I don't think Aldi restocked the brushes, there were a couple left. I thought they were too soft for my liking, but good value for money.

I bought the dehumidifiers but haven't used yet. They were on the shelves opposite the till belt.

I've just realised that I got the wrong diffuser in Aldi, doh, the nearest Aldi is a 45 minutes bus journey.

By the way, Lidl's micellar water is said to be the dupe of Drunk Elephant and is a permanent stock item.

I hadn’t realised it was a dupe at all but I bought a couple of the Sensitive version a few months ago, hoping to use to remove eye make-up as it claims to be ok for (the Garnier one is good for eyes, in my experience). Unfortunately the Cien micellar “burnt” my eyelids and rims. They were itchy and sore for days. I rarely get reactions to such things (only Philosophy Purity Made Simple and some body washes).

I've read in a newspaper, that Cien micellar came on top and was the said dupe.

And in Aldi, I thought that the face sunscreen was a good value for money, seems to be a permanent item, unless they remove it for winter season.

Finally got hold of the lip peptide. Didn't realise they came in different flavours. Thank goodness I saw some upside down! Salt caramel, watermelon and unscented. Love the salt caramel, watermelon ok but not a repeat. I may need to stock up on salted caramel.

I’ve only vaguely heard of it and if “high priced” means “high end”, I guess it is high end. Well, £35 for the 500ml bottle above. I think it’s worth a sniff in Lidl if I can find it.
I sniffed them all and didn't like any. They had loads at the checkout so i did it whilst waiting in the queue. (Other half almost died of embarrassment!)
One smelt like mouldy wood. I did buy the Molton Brown rhubarb and rose, and something that smelt like clementines to me.

They smell a bit medicinal, don’t they? I liked one, though - think it was the Geranium one, a nice “green smell”.

There are a few things left here, too, but only one or two of some. I just don’t think people know about it so it’s not a thing (yet) like the Aldi stuff. Two friends of mine really love the dupes of L’Occi hand cream, the Rio de Janeiro fragrances and the Jo Malone and White Company hand washes/lotions.The people I have spoken to as we browsed the last couple of weeks also went a bit mad for some items - one was stockpiling more than I do - I almost felt I had to grab a load of bottles quick in a Covid Lockdown Toilet Roll Panic sort of way! I would buy again for sure.

I got the Verbena hand/body wash and it's good value for money, strong smell, and the Lush Rose.

Yes! That's exactly it. Medicinal. The other MB one I got was bergamot and something. Smelt very citrusy. I didn't get the l'occitane dupes as I've got loads of the real deal at home to get through first.

On my Lidl receipt I can see that Pistachio Mist was printed as Ipanema Mist, and the Jasmine one was Corcovado Mist. After looking at the originals, these words feature in the online description.

I visit Lidl more than Aldi, which is quite a bit further away, so I know the Lidl range of goods well and I must say I have never seen these L'Occitane things. Are they in the middle section in your store or over near the Cien skincare and bath products? Also, are they packaged in a similar way to L’Occi? I’ll be going in this weekend so I’ll definitely be on the look-out for them.
Went into Lidl today and there is a stand with all the "dupes" in at the top end of the toiletries aisle.
I picked up a Sol de Janeiro for me and a Verbena shower gel for hubby.
Didn't really get a good look at the rest as other half was chomping at the bit to get through the tills to get home.

Mine was the Corcovado mist. Smelt a bit like hairspray for a few seconds but it's settled down now.

The Lidl stuff we were buyng for the past two weeks is being advertised for next Thursday

Interesting - and “from our everyday range” so regular stock going forward? I see there’s a L’Occitane verbena liquid soap there which we didn’t get before, did we? I might have a look at that but I’m definitely not ready to stock up on everything else again yet.
