I have got a Meaco ABC 12 litre one and you just clean the filter on this model. I bought one from QVC this time last year, no make on it and just a scrappy bit of paper with instructions on. It seemed very flimsy to me . I didn't even try it, packed it up and sent it back. Ordered a Meaco direct from manufacturers. Very happy with it. Hope this is of some help.I'm wondering whether to get this one or the 12L one by Meaco with added air purifier which is currently £179.88.
I need to know will I need replacement filters and if so where from and how much are they and how often do they need changing?
The filters, as others have said just need cleaning every so often. We try and remember to do them about once a month. You just take them off, bang all the collected dust and whatever into the bin and click them back in. A bit like cleaning the lint that collects in a tumble dryer.I'm wondering whether to get this one or the 12L one by Meaco with added air purifier which is currently £179.88.

Yes, yes and yes.Well excuse my ignorance…..but why do I need a dehumidifier? Is it for damp houses? I’m in a Victorian terrace and we do get condensation..would it help?
I have a heated airer I use upstairs but have to open the bedroom window or I get condensation. Would a dehumidifier be better?
I wonder the same Claire. It's not many years ago when we were buying humidifiers to put on radiators to keep the centrally heated air from being too dry and drying out our skin and hair. I still don't think I want the air to be dried out any more. I have my bedroom windows open all year and open the kitchen door if I'm boiling much. I think it must be that I have so many gaps in the walls and windows that I don't seem to get condensation any other time.Well excuse my ignorance…..but why do I need a dehumidifier? I got the Lakeland version. It’s a good oneI sent back that heated drier as it was rubbish, including very flimsy. Not keen on buying more of that brand. Also, having to sit through a presentation by Anne Dorrington is something beyond my capabilities. I shall look elsewhere.
