Might have just read it out, as he just said it’s a Japanese movement according to a text come in. Japanese movement stamped on the back might have been a bit of a clue🤔😀and if you know your movements (they seem to claim to know their watches and are collectors) just look at it, NH72 very distinctive over the Swiss movements.

Text came from Tony.

Jessie says, "absolutely right, it's Swiss made with a Japanese movement."

Even when correcting an error he still makes an error. It's NOT Swiss made. :ROFLMAO:

They had Reign watches on, Reign Elijah, according to Reign it has an Seiko NH35 in it.

Don't look like an NH35 to me, looks like some cheap Chinese knockoff.

I love the way this forum goes off at a tangent. I’ve lost count of the different topics that have been discussed. Also love the humour.
Agreed. It’s odd….But the much more watched QVC forum is nothing like this one. I always thought they’ve missed out by not having a similar thread like this and only focusing on specifics thread wise.

Are the SeikoNH movements, are not all marked as such and with the jewel count🤔
View attachment 30169

Yeah usually, but on add occasions can have a customised rotors from the brand where it will still have jewel count but no mention of NH35 or Seiko, but it doesn't really matter whether it says or not plenty of ways to quickly tell if that movement in the Reign is a NH35 or not.
The movement in the reign, is only 22 jewel against 24 jewel NH35a, looks more like a Chinese 2813 movement.

I agree, but QVC has less of the blatant lying and deception that hallmarks IW. They still talk utter shît on QVC, obviously, but they don't treat their audience as quite so brainless and persuadable, so there's less fodder on which a forum like could thrive. I've always loved this thread - it's the jewel in the ST crown.

More Duchump tonight.

Perpetual luxury with the multicultural Raidillon, made in China with Seiko Japanese movement from TMI in Hong Kong from the UK brand pretending to have Swiss origins & heritage. :ROFLMAO:

Needs to go to ASDA, better do it early so i'm back in time for a laugh. ;)
Presumably they label it "Perpetual Luxury" to try and associate with Rolex oyster perpetual movements.
But very, very different.

Instead of faking texts from him, they could use Hammy seriously and genuinely as a watch expert. I have learnt so much about watches from him, the Professor, and other occasional contributors over my time on here. Such great knowledge, and so willingly passed on.
Thanks for the compliment, but as i keep saying i ain't an expert, just smitten by the watch collecting bug. :ROFLMAO:

No way IW would use me, unless they want their watch sales to slump.:ROFLMAO:

It's all part of their marketing strategy for the brand, I assuming their experience working at Brand logic Europe ltd is where they got the ideas for starting/strategy for a faux Swiss brand selling faux luxury homage watches.

£229.99 for a carved Buddha, what happened to the cheapo tat!
,

Yeah but it's a hand crafted luxury high end Buddha. The highly skilled kids spent months crafting these works of art, thankfully Mother Teresa paid a visit to show support and help with their handing out their lunches.;)

They say some stupid stuff.

'And if the person you've bought the watch for goes online to see how much it cost, they'll see this ...'

Cue a screenshot of the brand website showing the watch and its RRP of £1699.99.

'They'll think you've spent all of that on them!!!'

MMmmm, and they might also see other websites selling the watch for a few hundred ;)

I wonder how long we'll have to wait for the kiddies toys to pop up seeing as we're getting ever closer to Christmas?

Cue the small cars that stick to the wall and the cars that run around the plastic track.

Also cue Peter S shouting 'THESE ARE THEE TOYS OF THE YEAR, SELLING FOR TEN TIMES MORE IN A CERTAIN VERY FAMOUS TOY SHOP!!!'

I think you'll probbaly have to turn over to Shop On TV for that! (swap Rob Locke in for Peter Simon)

Government ministers and others partying, drinking and not socially distancing at ‘work’ events, while telling us who we could see and when. When this behaviour was finally revealed, I knew I had made the right decision- certainly on the Jabs and my deep cynicism of the whole thing.
It was a blurdy disgrace how they got away with that - shameful and they should have been hung out to dry. Oh, I forgot, laws are only for the little people, aren't they? I was lucky enough not to lose someone close during the pandemic, but how those people felt who lost loved ones, I can't begin to imagine - especially after reading what the scum who were supposedly in charge got up to.
