He’s basically had a dig at everyone
I don't recognise this.
Can someone explain this comment?
How/Who have I had a dig at everyone?
Regarding just that apparently contentious recent topic discussion, or over the time I have been on this site?
Truly confused.

But starting to know how @saintslad or similar feels when being 'attacked'! Although quite rightly in their case!

There is no solution to the problems of the NHS. If there was, somebody, somewhere would have come up with it. Cutting the population by about 50% might help. Not workable. Recruiting 100,000 more nurses? People are turning away from the profession. Who wants to be working in an overrun, potentially dangerous environment. Being abused by families on a night out in ED. Young women and men nowadays don’t want that sort of aggro, and do you blame them? The failings of the NHS have gone on for decades. Creaking layers of non-clinicians management roles and few feet on the ground. No
Covid pandemic to hide behind any longer - much as it would still love to do. When my wife who was an ED matron was dying in the hospital she began at as a 19 year old, it was surreal walking through a virtually empty hospital to see her. Funnily enough, the several hundred souls (no R in front) crowding out ED with non-emergency conditions were no longer ‘ill’ enough to want to go there. Now they are all ‘ill’ again with 14 hour waits in the QMC ED far from uncommon. My wife would turn in her urn if she could see the S1 Hole it has become. Luckily she was far too ill to notice on her last visit there…

Enough of this…It is bringing back bad memories. The problems of Ideal World and surreal images of it entertain me much more.

Shall we take this all 'off-line' into another forum Off-topic area?

Well this went well! 😁

I would have stopped, before your post that I felt I had to respond.

@Jazzydrury is totally misrepresenting our discussions. I pointed out the their/there spelling errors very early on, offline, before I knew of their conditions and never kept criticising beyond saying once try learning the difference at the time, it might help, and have never commented or criticised since.

I recognise that many on here are pensioners and/or have health /limiting issues. Like me.

FWIW I am not a pensioner quite yet and probably won't live long enough to 'enjoy' it with my issues, but the lack of reality exhibited here, the state of the population, of the finances and personalisation of issues, surprises me.

Fine, take offence, if you like, from someone who has a slightly different point of view, but I have neither attacked you, nor been rude or offensive to anyone and only discussed the facts and issues. As I see it and from quoted sources.

The Few Good Men quote, 'you can't handle the truth' springs to mind, but it's more like 'you don't want to know the truth'.

Now, I wonder who is buying all the IW tat...
I must admit I find your responses conflicting Phaed.

You seem to support the withdrawal of the universal winter fuel allowance for pensioners.

Then you say (have said) that you fear what they (the government) will do in the budget.

If you don't object to the first outrage why do you worry what else the blighters will do?

All this research you do may be impressive but where human beings are concerned there are nuances. You can't base everything on so-called facts and figures. For example, the government are seemingly happy that 0.004% of the pensioner population might die as a consequence of this misguided policy but that would still be 4800 people. Truly shocking. And let's say only 25% of pensioners really feel the pinch and will be left cold, miserable and possibly sick. That is 3 million people! Frankly I don't care so much about your 1 in 4 who are millionaires or wealthy. They will pay tax on the income anyway.

Of course this country is in massive debt. But the 3.4 billion saving isn't going to touch the sides of the alleged 22 billion black hole which was actually created by Labour's pay settlement for trains drivers and doctors.

The term grey vote scapegoats comes to mind.

The Peter Simon Tent Dress looks quirky enough….

I haven't noticed any personal digs as such to be fair.

I just think a lot of people on here either are or identify with the pensioners. After all tv shopping is largely the domain of older folk.

When you said just because a universal benefit (wfp) has been paid for 27 years doesn't mean people should take it for granted I had a little chuckle.

If anything is repeated for over a quarter of a century one gets used to it and expects it to continue.

They just cannot cut it (pardon the pun) by having a product at a decent price. £7.99 is the SCHON trimmer elsewhere to their £12.99.. So pis…poor.

Mason saying their is no point in emailing in because nobody reads them…Er…
Followed by except if they are about a certain person, hmm.

My promise forbids me to comment further in detail here!

Suffice to say I am deliberately or accidentally being misinterpreted or I have not been clear enough. Surprisingly!

Let's take this to the Off-topic forum area, where @merryone holds court opining on all sorts of non-shopping telly stuff! 😁

Tbf it was £12.99 for 2..( so you’re paying for 1 you don’t need🤨)
But I only want one Sir Mike ( who now doesn’t read emails but the other day had hundreds?).
Go back to your day job Mason
