I'd be amazed if any of the Vostok Europe collectors are buying watches from IW, they will most likely know about Kev's site and the lower prices, so why would they be buying from IW?

£600 for an nh35 having a laugh. One flexi payment is about what they're worth

We used to have a very large potted palm in our meeting room at work. If we were sitting by it we’d often pull the fronds back and say in a German accent Very Interesting but Stupid, much to the annoyance of our boss

Barrer Boy and Kev selling a Vladivostok watch which is so chunky it looks as if it’s a knuckleduster for the wrist. Dread to think how much it weighs. I know little about watches let alone men’s watches but I don’t think any of my male friends or relatives’ wrists would be strong enough to lift their hand if they wore this.

I do like the box this Vostok watch comes in,Moyke.. can I just buy that?

Oh wow, I just went back on their YouTube live stream to watch the launch at 8 PM - now that is how you launch a shopping tv channel (not that MHI seem to want to describe it as one so far.. ).


Compared to the smug, self-congratulatory launches of Shop Extra and whatever Simon's flop channel was called (forgotten already haha), it's a world apart.

Incredibly professional production (from what I've watched so far), and a terrifically well-designed, cosy set that doesn't look cheap despite being quite small (IW's new studio supposedly cost millions but looks like a wonky budget hotel foyer). This channel feels very QVC Lite thus far, rather than hysterical TJC-style.

…Which makes sense since the launch is fronted by Debbie Greenwood, now she isn't overly familiar to me, but they were talking about her experience on a 'major shopping tv channel' for 12 years (I presumed QVC, most people wouldn't boast of IW). Had a Google of her, and bizarrely the first picture supposedly of her is… of DisinGenevieve.

I’m sitting here laughing only because I was just thinking that I would love it if Peter Van Whateverhisnameis would just appear with one of his vacuums and suck up all those friggin watches..haha..sorry just thinking of Rowan and Martin again..call me cynical but I just cannot take any of these presenters seriously…it’s so bad it’s brilliant..please tell me it’s a parody..
And I’m loving Peter Simon cos he hasn’t been on for a couple of days
