I used to agree with Len, that the music never fits the dance, and it's more circus performing with so many lifts and acrobats. They have 90 seconds to perform and very little of that is done with proper ballroom steps. I'm another who records to f/f the cr.p. This year is a record, I only recognise THREE names !
Never watched that either. I can't believe the c@@p that is on some channels. Love Island, Celebrities (?) Go Dating, Married at First Site,90 Day Fiance etc.

Exactly. Flinging yourself about, kicking your leg out every 5 seconds, doing running steps, the lifts and acrobatics, to me do not equal ballroom dancing. I've only ever seen bits, couldn't watch it all the way through for that very reason. I saw a comedy skit once, where the comic took the mick out of the programme, and said 'it's a pity they can't get the dancers dancing to the same music the band are playing' - from the bits I've seen, I'd agree.
