I once bought a stackable set but there were too many in it for me to use so I farmed some stackable ones out to family.

Noooooo! That's it, sort you cupboards out, you are going to need a lock & Lock one!
I am contemplating whether or not to get a set for a friend as we were discussing these only last week but not the TSV as we saw a glass set in Costco but she feared dropping and breaking them so I might order her the 8 piece round set.

The only other thing I'd like to get are the thermal bottles which keep liquids hot or cold. They did a set of two a while back but the size was less than 500ml which I thought was too small.

I've caved and bought my first set of Lock & Lock 🙂
The glass ones have pros and cons, but they are nothing like the ordinary plastic ones.

What I mean is, whatever you think of these will have no bearing on what you would think about the normal ones.

BTW I also have a stainless steel set, which also have pros and cons.

I ordered a set but they’re not for me. They’re as an extra Christmas gift for my son who is an excellent cook and I know that he hasn’t got anything like these. (I start Christmas shopping early.) I did shop around before placing the order and they were the best deal I could find unless I missed a deal elsewhere.

Oh no! What's the problem with the glass set versus the plastic ones?

I don't know why but I don't like the stainless steel ones.

There is no criticism of them, it's just that, as you have never tried LnL before, you can't judge ordinary LnLs by this set, as it is so different.

One of the cons is that they are heavier, and will probably break if you drop them. On the other hand, you can use them in the oven.

I managed to get the spearmint one this morning when it dropped out of someone’s basket - I was on the phone to CS in Liverpool and whilst we were talking she said one had literally dropped out. So, she secured it for me. All paid for and hopefully it will be with me by the weekend.

I prefer the glass. It’s easy to switch it from microwave to air fryer. It means I can freeze easily when I am batch cooking as well and the fact they are square and oblong they will stack easily in the freezer.

I am not keen on plastic. I have always been concerned about heating plastic with food in it. Could it ‘leach’ chemical compounds into the food whilst it is cooking? So, this set covers all of the bases for me and takes out any concern around potential plastic contamination.
