I cannot eat grapefruit. My blood pressure tablets say no. I actually like grapefruit and used to eat it.

Once I forgot and thought it was pineapple, I was not allowed to eat. I was offered a piece of fresh pineapple and turned it down. Damn!
Can't have grapefruit due to statins. Doesn't matter as I find it too acidy (?) like oranges.

"We all loved it" Tess is dreadful "presenter" and the reason I watch Strictly on fast forward.
I used to watch it from start to finish live. Since Bruce Forsyth passed away I record it and watch later. Only interested in the actual dancing. I fast forward through the training and judges comments and the wooden twaddle of TD. Cuts programme down to 30-40 minutes. I watched a really old Come Dancing a while ago, filmed in black and white.
Much more to my taste and no screaming audiences that clap and shriek if a Zleb kicks a leg in the air etc.

Tess Daley must be one of the most overpaid presenters on the BBC, says the same Shxxxe every week and has the personality of a grapefruit.

I do exactly the same, in fact I only watch certain couples so takes me about 10 minutes 😂

I was so disappointed that it was just base metal costume jewellery. I immediately knew as it didn’t state that it was sterling silver so that was me out as I can only tolerate precious metals on my skin due to allergies. I think they have cheapened the entire range by using non precious metals as it’s just not the same.
Me, either. Base metal jewellery is out, unless only worn for a very brief time.

Same. I was just starting to like pink grapefruits.

Never watched Strictly, couldn't stand "Brucie",so not bothered about it. I don't watch BBC or ITV,we've just got the Sky streaming puck and I'm trying to find out if I need the tv licence.
At the moment we have Virgin got TV,broadband etc but are having to change when we move as Virgin is not available were we're moving to.

YES if you watch anything live on any channel, but NO if everything you watch is streamed from recordings, but if it's being streamed live then you need a licence.

Martin Lewis has good info about it, unbiased, unlike the BBC.

Thanks Alan, I thought that might be the case. I object to paying a licence for a station I don't watch and paying obscene amounts to wastes of oxygen.
Rant over,I'm off on holiday this weekend and I've got a streaming cold and feel awful.🤢

Agree SW and his brand have a long history.I remember his shop in South Molton St. as far back as the 1960/70’s when his ‘lizard’ pins were all the rage,I bought a small one & still have it.Since then I have bought a few pieces, they come out from time to time, one necklace admired last year will get another airing this Christmas! Many of his offerings shown on QVC are not to my taste but I recently bought a pearl necklace & some earrings (very rash of me) intending to return, the necklace is lovely, a keeper. The earrings I did return, they were lovely too but just didn’t suit me.So I do put him in a different category to some TV personality who will ‘tick their likes/ throw in some ideas’ & put their name to a range. Not mentioning anyone who does the same to their fashion brand?!
I remember buying an offer of B&W in a magazine, Nova perhaps, in the Seventies. I grew up in NI, and this was the height of fashion for me. I had to ask my Mum to buy me a postal order to send for it. It was a simple double row brooch and matching earrings and was loved and worn for many years.

We've never watched Strictly either, I thought we were the only ones :ROFLMAO:

I do the same. I record it and fast forward through everything barring the dances. I’m not one of the viewers who counts the days until a new series airs and so wouldn’t miss it if it was taken off the air, but it’s ok to just watch the dances if I’ve got nothing else to watch.

I fast fwd through everything except the dances, there is so much hype now, flashing lights everywhere, somstimes you can't even see the dancers because of the lighting effects projected onto the floor.

Recently they re-showed the first one, it was so much better without all the things mentioned above.

And I agree that it is ridiculous to pretend that the results show is live, when it is recorded just after the main show ends, I just wish they'd be honest about it.
