Yes, they were. Or when the tape caught on the heads of the player and you had to use a pencil to wind it back in.

Yes, particularly when the DJ was Jimmy Savile who was totally incoherent and was unable to just say the artist and song title

Particularly remember The Read and Wright show on Radio 1 - Mike Read and Steve Wright, may have been late 70s. And I attended one of the Radio 1 roadshows in the early 80s. Happy memories of my younger days. I'm more Radio 4 these days

What a variety of LP's they've got for sale, Buddy Holly, The Platters, Dean Martin, Billie Holliday. Even I'm not that old. He's just actually played a bit of Elvis, it sounded horrendous.

Ofthemasons playing an Elvis record on a turntable - so low, it sounds like someone next door playing a medium wave radio.

It's gone up £15;in a couple of days, still a bargain.

Those albums are giving me Ronco/KTel vibes.
