Ben Sherman - yet another Dr. Edwards potential drinking buddy. ‘He’ (Ben) who died in 1987 apparently has designed their new smart watch, the doctor says. Maybe a boozing threesome with Chrissy Boy D, perhaps? Here he goes…why a £49.99 smart watch is better than his £400 one from Props.
Another of his ever growing cast of dead or made up or made up and dead characters

Who sent that Muriel in Neasden text? Saying some beauty tool helped her 23 year old cat Peter’s arthritic paws?? They only read it out.. The bounder wants stringing up. Not with Ideal World string, though. Better quality string.
So 'Muriel' has a cat called Peter. The alleged cat is allegedly 23 years old. That's a long crush. Obviously I'm not suggesting that it's not true.

I wonder how long it will take for the crew to read this and, as if by magic, Muriel comes on here to talk about her cat..

These things Natalia is selling have been around for years

I see ITV are bringing back You Bet.

It would be a perfect Show to have Peter Simon presenting, His opening line could be Our Bet, and his Bet walks out
Stephen Mulhern is good, though I'm not a fan of Holly Willoughby. I wonder if Ellis Ward can be dragged away from selling jewellery to make a guest appearance for old time's sake?

I didn’t. I submitted the below. I wasn’t watching intently to be honest. The television was just on in the background in the kitchen. If this isn’t a fully accurate reflection completely it more or less is from what I remember:-

The presenter of the Ideal World beauty show this morning was presenting an Opatra beauty aid called the Light Pro. She had a representative from the company via live video link. Towards the end of the presentation, anecdotal evidence was presented by the company guest that a person had stated to them that their Opatra Light Pro had cured their elderly dog of pain after they had ‘placed them under it’. They went on to say that it had taken only 15 minutes under the Light Pro for the dog to be removed from that pain. The claim is completely outrageous and irresponsible. The presenter, on the other hand, whilst saying that you should consult a veterinarian also, but that she would love to have the pictures of the before and after of the Dog concernec to allow them to promote that claim in future. The item being sold is a beauty aid for humans and is not intended to be used on animals. Encouraging such a claim is misleading, has no clinical evidence back up, and is potentially dangerous if somebody put a dog under the light rays of the unit and the animal reacted badly to it. I wonder how much longer this channel is going to be allowed to make these kind of outrageous claims on shows without any serious punishment? It is becoming tedious having to keep alerting yourselves of their transgressions, only to see them repeat them but even more outrageously time and time and time again. Viewers need to be protected from these kind of claims that are completely inappropriate for this type of goods being sold.
Well done for calling them out, but my opinion of the ASA is pretty low. You can't even say they are reactive, rather than proactive - all they do is at best give the channel a slap on the wrist and then sit by while the channel does it all over again (and again, and again....). I have reported Gemporia for claims they have made, and they have supported these, but you see it being done all over again in the future (albeit perhaps by a different presenter and for a different product, but no matter, it's still totally wrong). These channels just laugh in the face of the ASA because they know they have no 'clout'. Disband the ruddy thing, and push them all off the gravy train - and then replace ASA with something that DOES have some clout to bring these shysters to book.

Or he could walk around the audience asking: "You Bet?" "You Bet?" "You Bet?" As he has probably never seen her before in his life...
Do you remember the 'Only Fools and Horses' episode, where Del & Rodney (aka Dave!) try to flog certain....ahem....manniquin models? Well, now you know where Bet came from!

Agreed.

It just turned my stomach- that particular claim. I feel sorry for people out there trusting enough to fall for this and their other tactics to buy on the basis of false and fanciful, and fancifully false claims like the dog one. They did the same again this morning reading out the Peter the Cat one from Muriel in Neasden. The place is a circus. I just hope like the various Ombudsmen do - they get charged an investigation fee. Still, they’d probably pay it off in canes and bacon scent if they did.

"We spoke the channel and they agree to not repeat the claim in future broadcasts, and say they will educate their presenters to avoid similar claims being made on air in future" is pretty much the boilerplate ASA response to anything they do decide to act on when it comes to Selly Telly.

And nothing changes, ofc.

I waiting for the Opatra patio doors to be brought to air.
Bash your old poodle's head off the led lights and it will miraculously grow a set of eyebrows half-way up its head, alright.
Not only will be moving like a spring lamb, not only will a surgeon compliment its coat, not only will other dog owners ask where you got it.
These are going to fly. Ave a buy
