What a sad state of affairs. My sympathy is with anyone who gave up steady employment and/or (optimistically) pinned their hopes on the channel’s success. Sounds like the apple at the helm didn’t fall far from IW3 tree

The collateral damage for these shutdowns is always people like the lady posting here earlier about what she feels is counterfeit goods she received. Before these people went under, days from first broadcasting, it was those people that never received rattan furniture etc. they’d ordered from the previous version of Ideal World, with presenters still fiddling away (as in playing a metaphorical violin) on the deck of their own Titanic as the channel was sinking before their very eyes. No doubt other examples can be given from those auction channels that sunk before these two. The behind the scenes staff can also be included with customers as the ones who suffer in these situations.

Whereas, the grinning presenters just shrug their collective shoulders and walk on to another gig. Most living in good addresses and having comfortable standards of living, they repeat to themselves the ‘Nothing to do with us, Guv’ mantras, put themselves in front of somebody else’s camera and flog some more goods - leaving those who bought goods not received or not as described on their watches to sort it out. None of them generally seem to display any sense of public moral responsibility in trying to sort out the mess their sales pitches leave behind them - Alex Knowles being a rare, rare exception.

When will the likes of Iles etc. finally accept shopping television is an industry with only a finite number of mainly older buyers, and just give it up as a bad job for creating a successful business for future years - or days in Not Seen on TV’s particular case.

Whatever happens me and the team will make something work. Simon really isn’t the bad guy in this situation.
From the outside looking in I can understand the optics, it doesn’t look the best.
Me and the few who are here are staying despite the rumours.
I’m trying my best not to antagonise any situation with anybody on social media and answer questions where possible.

It's a strange one and look, each to their own and all that. However these channels seem to have their fanboys/girls who seem hellbent on trying to order from them come hell or high water. I even saw someone ask to the effect of 'Is it still ok to order from you? I had problems when IW went under not fulfilling my order ...'

What is it with such people? Why be so hellbent on trying to order from such ventures when ANY of their products can be bought elsewhere, often for less or same cost.

Equally, many posts about turning it around and coming back stronger, 'if anyone can, you can' etc. The sound of silence would make me think, maybe not. False optimism

The above statement gives me vibes of Simon and Seen on TV looking to rise like a Phoenix.

They have then said this. If we are guilty of one thing, it was being incredibly naive in thinking we could do something differently and independently without a larger backer. There are people with more resources behind them, which we are still trying to fend off.

What can we infer from the last sentence?

That’s why I think dual contributors both here and there is a rarity. You need to have drunk from the obsequiousness cup to post on those types of love-in type groups.

It's possible that this other channel telepathically prompted Simon to sign a contract without fully reading it, leading to their decision to stop broadcasting after only one week. This other channel sabotage the equipment with some undercover operatives working on their behalf.

They will announce a return as tik tok/facebook reels. Will mainly be his own stuff but no doubt will try any additional stock they still have / can get hold of. Unlikely they will use main stream presenting talent no doubt some presenter wannabes

P.S. is this forum 'social media'?

When it first stopped broadcasting, I mentioned that it would have been better to just start off streaming on Youtube and Tiktok to test the waters without spending a significant amount of money. I don't see a lot of sales coming through that route either. However, I would like to be shown to be incorrect.

LOL, yes, there is only one person responsible for their downfall, and we all know who that is. No one at the other channel has given the time of day to this debacle.
