Insider 2 (username doesn't state the 2).

I said I wasn't going to comment again, but I want everybody to be informed of what's happening (to one non-presenter at least), although, it's already clear that the channel isn't coming back.

I know somebody who's working there. They didn't want this known previously, as there was still a glimmer of hope, but he's happy with me saying now that he won't be going back. Yes, Alex is correct that there are many "issues". Some of the issues are supposedly trying to be fixed....*yawn*

However, Simon is extremely run down, and it's apparently clear that he doesn't care if it survives it not, and has really given up hope.

To the staff, he is trying to make it seem like it will be sorted/ there will be other opportunities to come soon. These "opportunities" he's promised my friend are unknown and won't even tell them...! Clearly Simon is going to start a new business once this is over (or they will get to work with Piranah....oh lovely). With my friend having worked in shopping tv for a decade, it's certain that the "opportunity" for him won't be in tv. Maybe one of his market stalls selling peelers? My friend loves working in the industry, and he doesn't want to take an opportunity outside the industry unless necessary. Unfortunately the false hope/ future opportunities don't pay wages for rent and bills this month. They are all looking for new work.

Unfortunately, people have been taken in by Simon's poor business plan, and believed there was enough spare funds to cover the summer period. This is clear, as even Alex says that it would've been naive to start the channel in summer and not have cash reserves. This is what's happened and pulled the wool over everyone's eyes.

I can assure you that Simon has lost a few close acquaintances, and I really really really hope that no other shopping channel will take him on. Not just the sly remarks, but also for how he's treated people in the industry. Unfortunately, I can't see that happening.
I had obviously seen Simon the Piranha guy on IW before, but I was actually surprised that he was the so called brains behind this company. I am not trying to be disrespectful but he is just a glorified salesman, I have worked with folk like Simon before, can sell sand to the Arabs but, you would not trust him as far as you could throw him.

It is not often I hope people are left to rot but, I do hope Simon finds it extremely difficult to gain employment, he needs to learn that you should be kind even if rivals. Now that he has fell on his backside, I doubt it will bother him in the slightest, he comes across as smarmy and condescending.

You need TV people for want of a better description, qualified technicians . It sounds like they just hired freelance staff all round including the technical people probably not equipped to deal with a shutdown or any kind of issues. The fact that he hasn't come out and made a video or released a statement when the viewing public have been buying stuff from him is disgraceful. Not even a message on the website. That is devious and disrespectful

I’ll message you Knitty and if you are happy I will give you a call. If you don’t get a private message pop up, let me know on here and we will find a different way but I will sort this out for you.
Good luck Alex, you came across as a genuine guy and I hope you get something sorted out for yourself asap, all the best for the future.

Only real public comment I've seen (if anyone has seen any others, do post) is from Dennnnnice. Not specific but not cryptic either - still, she's upbeat to be going back to Create & Craft.

Yeah, I think I speak for many when I say we're wishing you all the best @Alex Knowles - as well as all of the behind the scenes folks who pulled off, despite the hardware gremlins and constraints, a competent, professional-looking show. If the channel doesn't come back, I hope you all at least got paid.

And do know that any critiques I make about selling aren't personal, just opinions on how I'd prefer things to be sold to me. You genuinely seem a decent sort (the fact you're helping people on here with their orders, and were willing to listen and engage with feedback from us, attest that) so fair play 👍.

But I've no-doubt I'll be up late working on my laptop from the the sofa and hear your voice coming out of the TV on an ITV1 Shop on TV show… I would make a joke about you being an expert in pillow talk, but I won't 🤭.

I have no words
😞
I’m no blummin good at expressing myself in print so I gave up.
Trying now but you might still not get what I was trying to say.
There is no such thing as traditional, it is like everything else in life a movable force.
I remember thinking “ I won’t do that” the problem is when you think that, you do so in relationship to the world as you see it now.
Now I’m ELDERY the one thing I have learnt is nothing is predictable the future is fluide.
There will always be something you didn’t see coming that will turn your Apple cart upside down.
I would quote a current well known saying about death and taxes but who the hell can garentee that there will never come a day they don’t perfect Cryostasis.
I was just thinking out loud, something maybe I shouldn’t have done. I was just trying to say that.

Wait till your old, have seen the world change beyond anything you could have imagined and then try to predict what will happen next
I can’t I wouldn’t even try.
We all do the from we’re I’m sitting now, this is where we think the future will be we are sometimes right and sometimes wrong.
Now I’ve probably confused the ***** out of most tiz time I retired considering how majorly I’m off topic.
Coat bought, well worn and now retired.
Sorry if this is a hard read I am a dislexic who has no understanding of the correct use of grammar I just spout words that form in my head.

Coat 🧥 doned

Agreed. I didn't until a few days ago realise that "that guy" was actually Simon Isles. Never liked his presenting style anyway.
In our house he was simply known as the Potato.

Hello all, tried logging in with my old account, didn't work so set up a new account, anyway reason for this post, I am absolutely fuming, fell for Alex's spiel about the Earlys of Witney quilts, ordered one, what I have been sent is counterfeit with no bedding labels for fire or any other labels that are suppose to be there, the packaging doesn't even have the correct name on it, gobsmacked that a shopping channel would even think of doing something like this
I contacted Early's Of Witney earlier today and just received the following response from their Managing Director:

It would appear to confirm that you have purchased counterfeit goods 🤥

I’ve just received an email from Watchbase UK LTD. The following sums it up, sadly.

“To All Watch Followers,

Firstly, let us update you in regards to Seen On TV.

Unfortunately the channel has been pulled due to not taking the sales which they had hoped for in the first few weeks to keep going, whilst Vostok Europe shows excelled on TV sales, other companies did not”

Happily agree with the first part of this and sadly agree with the second part.

According to their latest Facebook post, Evey (COO of Seen on TV) is covering customer services. She says it’s "difficult to read the forums and I’ve had to come off them because it’s quite upsetting." Imagine how upsetting it must be for those who left other jobs to go work for her and are now out of work. At least she can go back to making silly TikTok videos with Simon.

It's a pity the business won't come out and admit it themselves, instead of trying to convince people to still buy from their website

There's one important Tik Tok video he could be making, like any decent person would, a video explanation of the state of the business

They are still taking orders. I assume Simon is going to wait for the dust to settle and try and make a comeback on Youtube and Tiktok.

The listings have now gone too. That must be the shortest lived sellytelly channel in history!

You can find the items in question on Amazon website for £17.99.
Put in "nevada bed spread" into Google and first result on page one will be your item.
