I knit a lot of Aran jumpers and cardis. The only thing is I don’t like sewing them up🤣. Still have two to sew up that I knitted earlier this year. At the moment knitting hats for the Sailors Society.
I'm the same, I hate sewing up so I knit as much as I can in one piece, always everything up to the armholes, including bands, so only armholes to stitch, but sometimes the rows do get ridiculously large. Going onto baby things next so lovely and quick and mostly done in one piece :)

My Mum was a brilliant knitter I had cardigans and jumpers when I was a child , having a new one was very special. It was not a talent I inherited I could just about cast- on, although remember having knitting sessions at Junior School. We knitted narrow strips which either got wider or narrower depending on how many stitches you dropped or picked up.Together with the odd hole or two!

I love traditional Fairisle jumpers. Mum used to knit them for us when we were children. It was a good way of using up odd balls of wool. My sister and I would have jumpers, cardigans and berets, Dad always have pullovers which would probably be called tank tops these days. If I remember correctly she’d knit the yokes in the round on 4 needles. I never mastered four needles knitting, only ever made a pair of mittens. Might have another go as you can use long circular needles.
Have a go, Battiola. I'm no expert knitter but I've made loads of (mainly plain, it has to be said) jumpers with a circular needle and it's so much faster and my stitches seemed to be more even.

Hmm, I wonder if it's time to get the old circular needle out again...

I’m going to try it once I’ve finished current project. At least if I knit it in the round there’ll be less to sew up.
