Thought I'd reach out to my friends across the pond to see if anyone has ever heard of this guy. Things that make you go :33:hmmm.........

At the base of Mt Kilimanjaro last I heard mysmilie_1436

See the evidence here.....

Once upon a time in a land far far away Jewel Hunter Jack was searching for his beloved gemstones. On his journey he was accompanied by Sacha the Sapphire so called because she was a bit of a conundrum (sorry)! Sacha the Sapphire was contemplating Jewel Hunter Jacks latest dilema. Where would they find the next exclusive gemstone?

Meandering around the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro she heard a shout of "I don't believe it" and turning the corner of the Acacia bush (very tempted to add a reference to PPC's bush here) she found Klos the Kunzite named because she had a habit of phosphorescing in the dark (something to do with serious amounts of Ready Brek consumed as a kid).

"What have you found Klos the Kunzite?" asked Sacha the Sapphire
"I donna hardly know" exclaimed Klos with her soft Scottish accent "this looks like some kind of gemstone but I canna be sure"

As Jewel Hunter Jack had disappeared into a termite mound, Sacha the Sapphire was mightily happy to see ...............

........someone who could show her ................

OMG,lol !!!! I thought possibly JHJ had found the ever elusive Tanzanian ruby surrounded by green Zoisite. :32:

No worries....

.....Klos the Kunzite and Sacha the Sapphire (aka Corundum the Conundrum) are on the case McGemsTV...

And after much scratting about the clumps of dry grass and thorn bushes......
which set off Klos's hayfever something rotten and all Sacha could hear was......

.......aMeeshoo aMeeshoo aMeeshoo!! .........

they came across a small basin (no, not a Pyrex one :52:)

whose base was covered with breathtaking hexagonal deep ruby crystals!

Success! they yelled and were soon on their knees collecting fragments and loose crystals
and many pieces were to be found still in their green zoisite matrix.

Here's the evidence...but firstly to see the true colours the stones had to be cleaned with all dirt and Fluff removed.

They were deliriously happy and dreamt of wealth and fame and couldn't wait to tell their pals...............

who would no doubt want to keep Tabs on their progress......

Chapter 3

Well......the intrepid pair Klos
searching.gif
and Sacha
searching.gif
continued their search for more of these elusive minerals

in the foothills of Kilimanjaro, the Arusha region to be exact.....see map below.

And beyond the first basin, there was a green stone outcrop that extended for several hundred feet which proved
to be the origin of the ruby crystals. :mysmilie_735.gif: With their Basket Case full of gleaming red gems, they hurried back

to the camp, even dreaming that they may have found what others had searched for through the centuries........
the long lost ruby mines of King Solomon! :mysmilie_175.gif: who was reknowned to be Madforgems.

So having set out their claim markers over the total outcrop, they set off back over the border to Kenya to
register their claim and get provisions for their return to camp. But some unforeseen problems were to lay ahead........mysmilie_711

roads were being blocked by trampled trees......what could this mean and more importantly....

Where was Jewel Hunter Jack?

Was he still stuck in this Termite mound? mysmilie_1556

W-a-y off track now.........due to trampled trees!

Have been pondering your last post McGemsTV.....I knew two of your three references...but who the chuff is Paul Potts? :33:
So I googled him and found this youtube video, which is so good I'd like to share it with you...and any other interested folks.

So sit back with your Bombay and mixer, a glass of Rioja for me and what's your poison Klos, don't think you're a whiskey drinker?

And relax......and enjoy this Diamond in the rough.....

Thanks Sacha!

Thanks for the Paul Potts clip, I think his singing touches the hearts of those who are willing to listen to him sing. So much more talent and class compared to another Britney or Miley. He truly is a gem.

A good cup of tea would do me fine Sacha but if you're twisting my arm then a G & T with ice and a slice could be forced down I'm sure :1:
