Which leads me onto another question... why are Bid.tv only getting a slap on the wrist from the ASA and not a meeting with Ofcom themselves??

I see what you mean but I think the issue with Patsy Kensit is a breach of the Broadcasting Code (undue commercial promotion during a programme) which is directly regulated by OFCOM, the ASA only regulates actual advertising.

However, the ASA can and indeed have referred broadcast advertisers to OFCOM for repeated breaches of the Broadcast Advertising Code.
