What's Going On?

It would be good if they came back for a week or so to sell everything off remaining in the warehouse then at least we get a proper goodbye, How ironic that the last thing we may ever seen on the channel is a mistake directing us to a non existent website.

I've got hundreds of hours of the coverage from the last 10 years so at least I will have something to watch to remember them by, The first 7 or so years were good then it started to slide but these last 3-5 years have just got worse and worse.

I can't believe you heartless lot haven't thought about the future prospects of the following high end designers: Tommy & Kate, Jean-Paul Dupont, Christin Lars, Rozzer Benini, Dr Kringles, Gianni Reeeeeacheeeee and Phileeeep Merrrrcier. I truly feel that a moment of silence is due.

I'm sure they're in talks with Del and Rodders as we speak

The staff at Bid will be fine. If you could work for the latest 'bosses' you can work for anyone. Now the truth can be told (so sue me). I got physically marched out of Bid with an escort because I told them what they were doing to the company would not work! Nasty ***** have proved they had no idea and drove the bus over a cliff despite being told to stop. Number one rule in any business is 'listen to your staff'. So sorry for those (like me) who were ignored and slapped down for not being what they thought the company needed. They were rude f##ckers too. Rough as badgers arses! Grrrrr

No matter what anyone says, Price Drop TV and Bid TV were once great shopping channels; where you actually could get a decent bargain. Price Drop was amazing at it's peak from 2005 - 2007, I'll never forget getting a Mountain Bike for a Quid, back in the day. Greg Scott, Sarah Hendy and Charlie would have me in stitches, I always thought they were too good for Price Drop.

I stopped watching in 2008, mainly because the best presenters had left, I tuned in recently and couldn't believe the POUNDSHOP TAT they were selling. It's a shame people have lost there jobs, the channels were ruined though! a shadow of their former self. A sign of the times really; shopping channels are not needed anymore, by the end of the decade i'd bet that QVC will be the last one standing.

Well with all due respect to Guy Kean maybe the new bosses were rough with them because they took over a company that was losing millions, were being investigated by OFCOM, had a list of ASA complaints as long as the M6 and a roster of presenters (including you Guy) who thought nothing of telling the customers a complete pack of lies (you can't use your existing rooftop aerial for digital over Christmas if your cable or satellite goes off and you have to wait until New Year for an engineer visit, you need to buy this ****** indoor one i'm selling, sound familiar Guy?)

I'm sorry Guy but I think the first rule of business is not to treat your loyal customers like ****, which you did all too often. You are in no position to lecture, love.

I would love to know why they haven't given the re brand more of a go, especially the Price Drop one, it looks like they paid out for the graphics for both relaunches so you would think they were hopeful a couple of weeks ago.

I suspect this wasn't their choice. I suspect HMRC and/or the banks have pushed for administration because they want owed money. HMRC have very big powers in particular for putting companies into administration.

I would hope that it wasn't a voluntary decision to go into administration - although after reading some reports online a few minutes ago stating that they've gone into administration due to "a lower than expected number of sales over the last month" does suggest that it might have been voluntary. At the moment though, I think that could be the media speculating. I doubt anyone, other than the administrators, know the exact circumstances about the situation.

I really hope that there's nothing sinister in it if it was a voluntary decision. I'm not going to say much more on that for obvious reasons, but I think you can draw your own conclusions.........

Oh my word i take it they have if so bad people have lost jobs BUT think people know was never a fan and good riddance!

And dirty peter, milke mason etc said they got paid the minimum wage, so they were lying, £12,000 a month.

They did not get paid that. Some of them hadn't been paid for a little while and once you've taken tax off its obviously
Less than that.

I'm sorry to hear of his predicament but at least he's got a decent Mobile to phone for jobs.

I just hope he had the foresight to get in a stash of Boom!, I fancy Waynetta will have him doing the cleaning while he's looking for work.

Gotta keep him busy :mysmilie_59:

Yes- Guy Kean is a typical disgruntled ex-employee pumped up on sanctimony and the delusion that if they had listened to him it would all have been different.
