Because of the whole google thing. Have to admit I have never signed up to goolemail or logged in just use so hope I am not tracked.
Anyway if you want to stop the tracking of your movements online etc. Well you need Firefox. They have a plugin now which you download icon appears on top right of screen showing who is watching your movements on each site you visit. Here on st.com its 3! You leave the site and it wipes and blocks them so they cannot follow you from site to site.:devil::devil::devil::bow:
