Cor, old Tiff must be coining it in !

Her face is in today's D.Express and being quoted as Mrs Johnson from Kent ! for a personal injury claim specialist. Wonder if she REALLY is, hmmmm........ what with the walk in showers, funeral directors, loose furniture cover manufacturers, cruise lines and steam cleaners, as well as her stint on Q, "old" Tiff must be the only aged and mature model on the agency books !

Well, here's a word to all the marketing bods - give someone else a chance for gawds sake ! seeing her face so often is like seeing Samantha Fox advertise everything from tea bags to holidays in the 70's.

"This Morning" use the same model agency, Jane Russell, Amica and Beulah are often on there. It would be nice to see more variety, and some shorter models too.

I kept thinking where Id last seen her, seems she is everywhere. I dont know why, shes always comes across as miserable and a bit stuck up.

She just a rather plastic elderly lady.

Wonder what name is on her birth certificate...not Tiffany Suchard that's for sure!!!!

She's on every other page in the Saga magazine too!

Have you been away brissles? - haven't noticed your posts for ages.

Aw bless you, thanks for noticing ! Yes I went on a supposedly 'stress free' cruise to the Caribbean for Xmas & New Year. Sadly 3 days into the voyage, and whilst I was stuck on the Atlantic, my little Border Terrier Eva died of pneumonia at home. No need to tell all you dog lovers how I felt, suffice to say it kiboshed the holiday and was even worse arriving home without her being there to welcome me. So have been quite "solitary" and wallowing in my grief, but my other old boy - my 16 year old whippet is still around, despite his failing eyesight and deafness. The two of us are now joined at the hip !!!

Back to Tiff - she also popped up last night in my Yours magazine, the face of some new health pills or whatever. I'm convinced its because of her pearly white and even teeth as to why she gets so much work, cos she's always photographed open mouthed and laughing !!!!

So sorry to hear of your loss Brissles, we've lost 2 bunnies whilst away and our dear friend was minding them. She now suffers lots of jokes about being a bunny angel of death from her family but she still feeds our Nigel and my grief at losing a bun was almost equalled by the sorrow I felt fror her having to contact us each time with the sad news.

Be kind to yourself

Thanks Jude and my sympathies to you too. Its heartbreaking isn't it when a pet of any description has its final day, but like you I felt worse because my brother who was looking after them, had all the 'sorting' out to do plus making several distressing shore to ship calls to me. Certainly wasn't a holiday to remember.

Ooooh I feel for you B, best love & light to Eva, you & your elderly gent doggie. Lost my best friend, my **** tzu, Millie, a year last August following sudden heart problems. I'm still getting back to doing the things I used to now. xx

I came home and my lovely neighbour had buried Hugo in our garden, covered with a flag to prevent foxes digging him up and planted a new plant to mark the spot. Fellow pet owners know how bad it feels to lose a pet, and we can't easily stop ourselve feeling we've let them down. I just know that our little furries never ever felt that!

Lots of love

So sorry to hear that Brissles, I can imagine your sadness coming home without her greeting you. Im sure your whippet is grieving too. Our pets become more than just pets, they are family members,, I adore animals but unfortunately my hubby, has a terrible allergy to all pet hair so we could never own our own. However my brother had a darling little Westie, who I adored, bro & SIL travel quite a bit so my parents looked after her a lot, I just adored her, she was 13yrs old when she passed away & it was so sad going to my mums for ages afterwards, missed her loads, still do. Take care of yourself x

I might set up a pet memorial thread where people can post pics of their departed loved ones with a little message, what do you think? x

Isnt Steradent wonderful

Brissles - so sorry to hear your sad news. It's bad enough dealing with the loss of a much loved pet when you are with them but to be on holiday at that time must make it much tougher. Our cat grieved for a good six months when his brother died - so distressing to witness.

Have a think about joining The Drop - lots of swapped pet tales and pictures. You'd be made most welcome.

I second joining The Drop D. I was in a quandry about geting my lil rescue dog pearl speyed and people gave me so much helpful advice and talked about their experiences. I'm very grateful as they really helped me in my decision to get her speyed. It's a very friendly, supporting place.
