Feed and water peonies regularlyuntil plants are fully established
In exposed positions the stemsmay require staking to support the large peony flowers
Cut back old foliage in autumn
When growing peonies on lightsandy soil, a spring mulch of well rotted manure or garden compost may beapplied around the base of the plant, taking care not to bury the crown as thismay delay flowering
