This weeks ASA ruling against Sit Up - 20 February 2013

God I wish that the powers that be would sit down and watch an entire day of sit up tv. Not only would they see them trying to work around recent upheld rulings eg.waiting until the dying moments of a sale before they verbally mention p + p charges, bombarding the viewers with designer names that the product is not (blatantly intended to confuse), lighting that is designed to enhance/exaggerate the colouration of their wishy washy poor quality gemstones....that's just a start!

Bit of a storm in a teacup, yes I can see why this would annoy people and I actually agree that they did overstate, or at least imply that the product is more popular than it is....but...the ASS action states that they should not do this again should the item appear again - so the ruling only covers this one item? If that's the case then they can just collect these complaints like stamps and not worry about it?

That's what I love about Ilovebid. In no way do they try and cause aggro by coming on here and try and wind people up by denigrating what others are doing.

I wish I was as good at dealing with people :clapping:

On PD facebook page, someone is congratulating Sit up for the recent changes in being more up front with gold plate and postage.

PD thanks this person and appreciates their comments, as if it's all their own doing

What was the persons name doing the congratulating?

Mr S Itup?

Or even, Mr S.H. ITup?

Ha Ha, those poor souls who were congratulated on getting their £10 vouchers off Price Drop must be feeling grim today.

As expected they are having a clearance day. I have honestly seen no more than 4 or 5 items you could actually spend them on since it came on air, i'd say well over 90% of items on sale have been for less than £10. And anything decent has mostly been on Easybuy which you cannot use the vouchers for.

Hopefully as the day goes on there will be more £10+ items, Bid hasn't been as bad as PD though. They did do the hand held vac for £15 and no P+P earlier but I assume
you cannot use the vouchers on that either as it has a promotion attached.

I know this may come as a shock to everyone but the free £10 promotion is starting to look like a bit of kidology.
