I tend to make all my own pies and sausage rolls, I make my own pastry all except filo and its far too time consuming but I bet my pies and such have more meat in them that the tosh the Porky Pie company sell on Q. I know what goes in them, may well taste much better and cost a third of what they sell them for. And guess what, I pay no arm and a leg postage. ( If all else fails then there is always Fray Bentos):mysmilie_46:A friend of mine speaks highly of the Lime Tree Pantry pies. https://www.limetreepantryfoods.com/
Otherwise, even if you don't care to make your own pastry, you can get pastry squares (no rolling out) and filo pastry sheets to make pies of various types. Saves a lot of the faff.

There are a few home bargain stores dotted around where I live so will check it out. ThanksThe suet pastry on top of a Fray Bentos pie is absolutely delicious! I always give husband the filling and a bit of the pastry (I'm soooo generous like that you see) and the rest for me, oh yeah! Yummy!!!
talisker do you have a Home and Bargain store near you, they often have Fray Bentos pies for about a pound, sometimes less.
