The Presenters!

Not naming anyone in particular because it's general, but do we really need to be told we can put on a cardigan if we're chilly, or the various things we can put in a bag? Has anybody on this forum been grateful for this information?
Not me. Common sense. They’d be better telling us if coats and jackets did up and the models wearing them buttoned/zipped up. Mind you in the majority of cases they’re too small for the models and wouldn’t have a cat’s chance in Hades of doing up!

Anyone have any idea who the brand ambassador Kerry is? She’s short and dark haired and rabbits on about her husband being in a band. I’ve seen her with a few different brands and now she’s popped up as a so called jewellery expert. She doesn’t seem to have much knowledge of jewellery not like Alison O’Reilly, Ruth Linnett and Mark who all have a jewellery background.
Just seen her again. Name is Kerry Crawshaw.

Is she the teeny tiny one? I’ve noticed that since I started the thread about the different heights of the presenters, they have started to sit down for the jewellery shows. Whilst we’re at it, could BA. Nina please do something about her awful pudding basin haircut?

She has beautiful hair. Maybe she's in process of growing it. I wish she'd push the fringe back a bit.

I thought Anne usually went to Italy in the summer/autumn, perhaps that's where she is depending as it can get just as cold in certain parts.
It's freezing here. Minus five C expected this weekend. Perhaps she's in the South where it's much warmer. If she has retired, I wish her the best. I believe she brought up three sons. Not an easy job while having a home to run and a career to follow. Imagine, three boys and a husband to take care of. Perhaps the husband helped out a lot.

I was always surprised when Anne joined QVC she is a very intelligent and accomplished woman in business. She and her family have had their holiday home in Italy for many years before she joined QVC. I hope she is ok and is not retired (I think we would have heard), but just in Italy and not i'll. I like Anne.

I know the feeling I live in the North East yesterday started minus 2 never higher above 5 most of the day.

How refreshing to have Julia Roberts and Ruth Linnett on the Diamonique show this afternoon. Very professional, no shouting and the infamous QVC ruler came out.

As there was two hours of Ruth Langsford on I decided to watch Julia and Sam Ovens on Style. Again very professional, details of fabric, sizing and they did the coats up!

Had to laugh. Caught a bit of the shape wear show last night. Who was the presenter? The person most needing shapewear? No. Skinny Binny Jill Franks. Words fail me.
I know! Why don't they show the plus sized models in the shapewear then we could see if it made any difference to their figures. It probably wouldn't so therefore they get the slim girls to model it and people buy in the hope that they will look that thin.

Most QVC shoppers are women between the age of 50 to 75 and size 16 and above. Why the h*ll don't the fashion show producers banish the size 10 models who are mostly aged below 50? Even the few mature models are size 10.

Many years ago they had a brand whose name I can’t remember but think it might be an Italian brand. They used to have models that had mummy tummy, bulging bra back etc. just like a good percentage of QVC demographic. They did seem to work as they usually showed the model wearing clothes with or without the shape wear. Always remember you had to put the bras on feet first! They may have originally been on Ideal World then switched to QVC or vice versa.

I remember a girl called Astrid (I think she might have been German) and she was on Ideal World with shapewear. They had a more mature, shorter lady that modelled the shapewear and that was far better as lots of customers would be a similar age/shape and you could see where the garments held her in and what you might look like when wearing them. QVC had Vicella Vita but not sure that was the same brand.
