Spud growing kit

There's a bloke on now flogging a 'potato growing kit,,(black bucket, compost and seed potaotes) It took me back over 36 years to when we were first married and didn't have too much money. We used an old plastic dustbin found in a skip, 1 growbag mixed with 1 bag of compost ( couldn't afford 2 bags of compost) and sprouting potatoes we found at the bottom of the veg cupboard in the kitchen. We balanced the bin on bricks to get good drainage and made holes up and down it with a red hot poker:grin: We got so many spuds that we were giving them away, Happy days.

They are trying to grow spuds? Bid don't do it! We don't need anymore spuds on the channel you employ enough of them.

Maybe they're trying to grow enough potatoes so that they can make lots of worry angels out of them?

Or perhaps Baked Tanzanite Potatoes will be the next <del>fad</del> product for sale?

Or maybe the potatoes are going to be a replacement for Steve McDonald? :wink:
