Just saw an ad on the Beeb for the Chelsea Flower Show and assumed that QVC would subject us to hours of RJ as a result. Just checked their TV guide and I wasn't wrong:

At the end of the TV guide is a clickable link that says "More" but I think that's more than enough!

Can I make a suggestion, it think he should stand in a pot of his own flower power compost, up to the neck if possible and see if it helps him grow. Someone should then spray him with wet and forget and then.... Well forget...

I bet the only person pleased he's on the box so much, is his wife.

Nope Briss, I love him :mysmilie_14: I also like the Chelsea Flower Show. Mr CC can't stand Richard Jackson so he is packed off to walk the dog so I can watch in peace. Surely I'm not the only person to like the gardening on QVC? It wasn't on last weekend, I was distraught. I had to go to Tesco instead, blahhhhhhhhh.

Yes enjoy the Gardening Shows. I know people are negative about his Flower Power but you can really see a difference after using it.

Moth, it comes down to what I've always said......we need much more Richard Jackson hours, he's just not on there enough! :mysmilie_17:

qvc gardening must be the most expensive way to buy your plants, feed your plants and generally care for them. qvc the harrods of selly telly....barring the service

I would try a lot more of the products in the gardening shows if they were cheaper in price and in p&p. The prices for plants that are only one jump up from plug plants is shocking. Easy for me to say I suppose, as I can get out and about to local garden centres and our lovely garden stall in Chelmsford market.

To be honest I don't always believe his claims because of the way he presents them - they might well be true but I don't trust him. I love gardening and I'm disappointed that the QVC shows don't quite 'deliver'.

I think it would bring the gardening shows to life more if they would get out of QVC "towers" and have a stand and broadcast shows at some of the events which take place... I dare say it's not possible to do "live" shows at RHS shows, but they could probably do some filmed pieces from there with some of the brands which QVC sell who are present.

I was particularly struck by this after watching the Create & Craft live shows from Belfast a few weeks back. OK C&C were the sponsor for the event... but QVC could afford to do something given what a big earner Gardening appears to be, surely? And there must be smaller local shows, not necessarily affiliated with RHS which would be glad of some financial support from QVC. We might then get a chance to see Richard Jackson strutting his stuff and showing the sceptics among us why he has fans on here who are genuinely grateful for his knowledge and inspiration to start gardening.

If Create & Craft who must have much smaller resources than QVC can get out and about and bring their brand to their customers, it must be possible for QVC to do... and just think how much goodwill QVC could generate for themselves. There would undoubtedly be some other departments in QVC where they could really liven things up and at the same time connect better with their customers in real life. However much they think the interactivity of social media fills that gap - it really doesn't. Nothing truely matches human to human interaction.
