I use several SBC items and the pumps on every bottle have stopped working even though there`s several inches of stuff left at the bottom. Has anybody else had this problem ? I`ve got both old and new packaging on the go and both seem to be as bad as each other.
I find I have to tip the bottle upside down, let the gel settle and then unscrew the pump and poke the gel out because there`s too much left inside to waste. Even the cleanser which isn`t a gel has stopped pumping.
Any solutions ? Or am I just unlucky ? I`ve a propolis gel, collagen gel and cleanser all upside down and propped against something to stop the bottles falling over !

I haven't had that problem but the pumps on the latest TSV seem to be stiff. Would soaking the pumps in hot water to clear out the gunge help? Just a thought.

I have had this problem , It was at the top of the pump where the gel comes out getting clogged up, Now after i use the gel i always give the top of the pump and wipe with cotton wool etc and it seems to solve the problem.

With me, its the bottom of the bottle, the plastic tube actually cannot pump the product up. So I unscrew the pump give the product at the bottom a good shake to distribute the liquid evenly across the bottom then put the pump back in. It should work then.

Can you lower the tubing from the top slightly so it reaches the bottom of the bottle without losing power of suction?

Thanks for all the tips. I`ll give them a go tomorrow. I`ve unscrewed the tops and jiggled the contents and wiped the nozzles but I`ll try washing the pumps and lowering the tubing a little. I had this problem once before and thought it was just a rogue bottle, obviously not.

It sounds daft but when I've had this problem the tube was too long. As it has a gentle bend at the bottom when it gets low it ends up sucking some air or can't get enough suction to can't get the product up. I've cut off the very end of the tube and it works again. The 1st one I did I cut it too short so I now do it in small stages. It might take several cuts to get it right and there has to be a small diagonal at the bottom to ensure it doesn't cause a vacuum.

Resurrecting this thread as I have some recent issues with the pumps and wanted to tell everyone who may be interested. I got the vitamin ACE duo with shower and skin gel and found the pumps were too long, in the case of these products, it really was a pain as they have little beads and they just weren't coming up the tube with gel. I emailed QVC and SBC- QVC are sending me new pumps out but I got great results from SBC and wanted to share what they said as it applies to all SBC pumps -

I am sorry to hear you have been experiencing problems with our pumps, we are aware of the situation and we are currently in the process of selecting new suitable pumps to use with our products. Unfortunately we have not got a pump that has been approved yet as we are currently testing new ones out.

So I hope this happens soon and has great results.

Wanted to add, with mine I have cut the tubes shorter a little as mentioned on this thread by Nuttsville but my bugbear which I told QVC was you waste some product due to this because it always drips, no matter how careful you are. Now I know I am getting the new pumps, went ahead and cut them.

I have this problem with pretty much every pump bottle I use :( I get quite annoyed and upset. lol!

Yeah totally agree, every time it gets to about two inches from the bottom the pump stops, I end up unscrewing the cap and shaking to contents out, only problem is I end up getting three times as much as the pump would've given me.
