I like Ruth too. I don't watch Strictly or Loose Women either. I also like Eamonn but I think I may be in a minority here!

Eamonn's OK in the small doses I get of him. He can be very witty and self-deprecating. Both likeable qualities. He and Ruth make a good combo. I'd rather watch him and Ruth than Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.

Too much cackling on Loose Women for me. I think Ruth is a good presenter though and does the qvc stuff well. As for hubby Eaomon, I cannot stand him, have to switch channels if he appears on TV.

I may be mistaken but when EH left his first wife it was not for Ruth, she appeared on the scene a little later.

I was reading an article from OK magazine which indicated they've been an item for 22 years, and got married after 13 years, in 2010. The maths is a bit skew-whiff... You may have to google it because I can't paste the link!

I never watch the 'magazine' morning programmes that all the womens weeklies seem to love (I'm a news addict), but all the presenters appear to be lauded like A listers.

Lorraine and her catalogue and weight loss, Holly Willoughby and her umpteen business interests and now weight loss, the complete Loose Women panel with again their weight loss/love lives/QVC jewellery, and Ruth who was nobody till she married Eamonn !! Amazing that I know all this and have never seen one of their programmes - so it just shows how much publicity they get.

I absolutely agree with you brissles, that's how I see it too. I often have the tv on during the day, even in the background, but I love news and don't mind recurring items on for example sky news, which I'd say is my main stay. As for so-called morning programmes don't like them, it's not my thing and can't stand that blooming Lorraine or the others mentioned. I do like Ruth and Eamon and wonder how much wealthy they have amassed - quite a bit I'd think - they certainly get cushy jobs.

Hmm, perhaps a minority of '1' :) No only joking perhaps there maybe someone else out their, I mean channel 5 certainly seems to think so as there has been at least 3 series of their show.

To be fair the odd times (and I haven't done for a few years), when I have seem them presenting together they do seem very natural (perhaps a little too natural), as a married couple presenting, sometimes the 'little arguments' seem to boil and fester and they were noticeable (well to me anyway, but I may have been reading more into it), underlying tensions. In the days of Richard and Judy there always seems to 'gloss over' and if they were tensions, they didn't seem to be a 'visible' as these two. May be it is me I am older (though of course certainly no wiser), then I was in the Richard and Judy days, so may be able to 'spot the signs' as it were.

No it is interesting though, I remember on one of the 'edit' shows, they were talking about Eameon in some shorts or something and Jackie wondering if she could have a twit pic and she made a glib comment about have a photo next to her bed (she quickly tried to retract), but seriously, I mean, it is one thing when someone who doesn't know him personally but is 'fan' has that, that is 'semi-ok' (though I can think of better people than Eameon if I am brutally honest (sorry @Anna),) but if you know them well and probably socialise (remember they are both of the Breakfast TV era, then this kind of makes it a bit creepy!

Is ok Yorkrose - I like Eamon but certainly don't fancy him :mysmilie_13:

A couple of the newspapers tv critics are panning their latest show, as they feel the irritating 'banter' sounds scripted. So maybe they've milked their mini-rows to its natural end.

I saw that Eamonn and Ruth started a five week series of 'How the other half live' starting in Dubai, that would be why she is not on qvc until autumn...They definitley get about.
