I have a top similar to RL's sports top with the half zip. I paid around £28 for it with free shipping. It's good quality material and a nice fit. The only difference between the two is that Ruth's has a placket around the zip. Mine is plain, so not quite as nice as hers. But, is hers worth £20 more because of the added detail, with shipping on top of that? I think not.

I saw a few minutes of the programme last night and thought Jackie Kabler looked really good in the tan coloured joggers and striped top. But really, almost £100 to lounge around in? Very expensive imo, and wonder what they will wash like?
I wonder why she tucks the bottom of her tops under, making the top look shorter. However, she did look nice, but I wasn't too keen on the colour. I can't watch too much of Jackie and Ruth. Jackie is just plain silly imo, and I get irritated with her jokes. At least they are clean, though, unlike Chuntley's innuendos.

Agree, I can only do around 10minutes! It's the condescending way RL speaks that gets me, and the way she puts emphasis on words, arghhhh!!😂

Really? I know I've only seen a couple of clips but I thought that she looked really frumpy - but then who wouldn't dressed from head to toe in that colour? From what little I've seen the entire range screams "Bon Marche"/Cotton traders catalogue both of which you can buy very similar garments for a fraction of the daft prices she's asking. I thought that Jackie's outfit would sit a lot better on a little old lady in her eighties! She's done really well so far convincing ladies that they can still achieve that "youthful look" by adding what she calls her RL twists to garments that perhaps an older woman has given up wearing and now she's cottoned polyestered on to the fact that woman is still in the market for comfort over style. Sorry but when I saw Jackie in that outfit, it conjured up the image of a posh little (other sizes are available) old lady driving down to Waitrose to stock up on rare breed farm eggs, some Jersey milk and a packet of Tena!

I didn't like the colour, but Jackie can get away with almost any outfit and look good in it. I wish she'd pull the tops down, though. Bending them under looks like she's trying to hide a protruding belly.

"Polyestered on". Priceless !

I’m just thinking what market Ruth hasn’t tapped into (yet) I believe she’s been threatening to launch an underwear and shapewear range for quite a while. Maternity wear? Is that still a thing? In my day most high street stores had a maternity range. I’m showing my age here but I used to buy a lot of mine from Chelsea Girl! What happened to those dungarees or those dresses? You just don’t see them anymore.

I’m getting stuck for ideas here, has she done pyjamas, nightshirts and dressing gowns? If not I’m surprised she hasn’t tried to hoover up that corner of the market. Hey how about “Farm chic” - horse $hit repellent workwear , trousers that won’t chafe your ‘apenny when you’re sitting on a tractor for hours, blouses with polythene arms that can be hosed down if you’ve had to give Buttercup a helping hand! Boots that minimise the “squelch factor “ she’s not sure how - but she’s on it!

I only see the odd clip of RL shows if I am flicking through channels.I expect we have here another load of boring dated stuff with the RL ‘twist’ which will cost you.I skimmed some reviews on that awful slipover top which was a TSV?Not good, sizing and quality issues, someone bought 5!!!! They will be returning some, words fail on the postage alone. It is everyone’s choice to spend their money where they want but I do hate to see obvious ‘throwing money away’. Remember Hyacinth,Lola & the woman with her MIL?

They'll never be forgotten - seriously I reckon the postage they paid would've covered their mortgage for a year, but that's the thing even if your mortgage is paid, there's never any excuse for throwing money away!

Surely a Diamonique collection?

I do miss Hyacinth and co!! Used to make me really laugh, inbetween eye rolling at the amount of crap they all bought. How can anyone warrant sending for 5 of one item?? I'm gobsmacked. Takes all sorts I suppose.

There was a RL Diamonique collection in her early days on Q.
Her diamonique collection didn't take off. There were only a couple of pieces, but they probably didn't sell too well, so they disappeared. The same with her necklaces and bracelets. I can only guess that she could branch out to men's wear. Many (most) of her customers are 50's to 70's age group, and may be happy to buy their husbands jumpers, shorts, golf/polo shirts, etc.

Thank you.
I must have missed her Diamonique collection - wonder how that happened?
