RL Broke?

Last night on her sale show, she said that it's January, so we're all broke. Bad choice of words. Condescending to us little people. She is certainly not broke. She should have thought before she said it, but all the RL crawlers phoned in, nevertheless, and posted their syruppy comments. I turned her off to watch The Traitors in any case.

On the odd occasion I watch her, I always find her condescending. IMO she’s conning people by using her “status” to sell overpriced clothes and accessories.

When she first came on I had to look up who she was as I’d never heard of her.

Exactly her boring clothes, can be picked up for a lot less on the high St, she has nothing original to offer, just the same old, same old!!

Sorry for a moment I thought who is RL.?I must be on another planet but then realised it QVC’s design guru the one that brings dated garments to the masses and sells them for way above their true worth. ’Broke ‘only applies to her faithful followers certainly not the ‘designer’ herself?

If you like them, fine, but for me, her designs always seem a bit safe, for want of a better word, but somehow just missing the mark. And for silly prices, too.

Mina, you're too polite. Ruth clothes are boring, the kind that your Aunty Margaret would wear (even though my AM would be near her 90's). They are very overpriced for what they are and I'm not sure the quality is there despite Ruth's protestations that it is. She has her customers and that's fine but I find most of her stuff frumpy and the thing I had that I liked I had to send back as it fell to bits.

It fell to bits? Would you be willing to say what it was? I suspect a handbag. But it could have been an article of clothing where the stitching gave out.

Her jumpers are too short to hide the tummy bump and look market stall style to me, I would never buy them.

I’m in my mid 70s and wouldn’t give house room to her overpriced frumpy clothes. Like Loveinamist says market stall styles.

Always laugh at the French tuck malarkey with tops and jumpers. For goodness sake, unless you’ve got a flat tummy, it accentuates rather than disguises.
