Ring Doorbell bought out by Amazon?

Just read online that Amazon has bought Ring Dorbell and are hoping that customers will trust them enough so that they are able to open the door and leave your deliveries inside...What!!!

This was on the Beeb, have I read this right...they want you to let Amazon delivery guys to have access to your house to leave parcels inside...really?

Where does that leave customers who have bought this doorbell?:thinking:

There is a video on the Ring facebook page, random delivery man rings doorbell, customer is miles away, cutomer uses his phone and remotely unlocks door, random delivery man enters house and leaves parcel

Im sure insurance companies will love that !!!

ME: i have been burgled
INSURANCE: how
ME: i let a delivery person into my house
INSURANCE: were you there ?
ME: no i was 100 miles away
INSURANCE: tough luck buddy, you let them in, case closed

I watched the inventor of the “door bot”, appear on shark tank, in 2013,looking for investment, valuing his company at $7 million. He left without a deal. Bet they could kick themselves.
