Yep, saw that phone and immediately googled it. Biggest complaint, and obvious really, is that 1gb of ram just isn't enough for a smartphone these days.

I saw the vacuum/heater "specialist" trying to flog it by going through a suitcase of items, including books and videos, and explaining how you can throw them all away as the phone does the lot. If you throw videos and books away in favour of using a phone to read and watch movies, then I think before you buy this phone you should consider a straightjacket.

I just wish they'd tell the truth about an item, instead of making it sound the best ever product of it's type. This only leads to customers' high expectations, then disappointment when they receive it. This leads to lousy one star feedback and presenter look like the shysters they are!

Watching Simon and the other over the top guy last night, made the phone appear to be better than any other phone on the market! You then take a look at the full specs and see this is really a basic phone.

So ideal, just tell people the truth!!!

To be a good liar you need a good memory...Foghorn Jaxxxxxxxx is shilling the Tefal Cook4me+ ""Pressure Cooker ""...One minute she says she is definatly going to buy one when the show ends, then 2 minutes later says she cooked for 8 people with it at home ...And it is a Blockbuster, not a pick of the day,and Joe cook guy said they sold 800 last year just in France...

did anyone catch Andy Hodgeson presenting on IW the other day.

He made sure he was on with his old mate from bid, Angela Noghani or whatever she is calling herself these days. She shills flowers.

I know he doesn't present more often as he is the one who hires the presenters etc... but he is far better than most of them quite frankly.

For the love of God, someone tie up the Jimmy Savile woman's hands...her incessant, creepy clawing at the screen is unbearable.

Another marvellous phone on sale today. The Alcatel 3C. 720p screen, 1gb of ram and 8 megapixel camera interpolated to 13 megapixel. Peter Simon is enthusing over it. "What a smartphone, never seen anything like it and BRAN new!"

He also said it has face recognition. No it doesn't, idiot! Not to mention how it reads your DNA with the finger print sensor. :mysmilie_17:

This wonderful phone is a mere £99.99. How can you resist?

Another low spec phone that can't be beat! Pah!!!

As well as the stingy 1GB RAM (perhaps to be expected given the other features it has for the price), they mentioned a 13 megapixel camera in the on-screen description without mentioning the interpolated bit (not seen the word 'interpolated' used in conjunction with camera resolution for years!), and it took Peter Volauvent of all people to say it was actually 8 megapixel; indeed all of the information relating to the phone elsewhere online is more honest in that respect.

To give Ideal World credit though, at least it's an up-to-date phone selling at a competitive price (and a short-term exclusive as well) plus it's much better than that STK thing they were selling, but there again a pen and paper would have been better than that phone :mysmilie_59:

Regrettably Ideal World’s Ghastly Goons only know how to sell one way which is to holler hysterical hyperbolic boll*#@s.

But if they could manage to reign in the BS just a little bit then perhaps Ideal World might not receive so many atrocious reviews on Trust Pilot.

The complaints just keep rolling in by the day, do check out the latest batch.

So bad :mysmilie_59:

Yes, Jimmy Saville haired Hayley is so annoying with her gesticulations.....makes me want to cut the ****** things off.

I notice when she is doing any exercise equipment lately, that she almost rivals Nanty in the fake sincerity department as well. What always amuses me is when she tries to make a claim, but knows she can't. e.g "This could really help you get back on your feet and have you getting out and about......(here comes the disclaimer) I really do believe that)

Ah so, it's just your opinion then woman, and not actually something you can guarantee!! Anyway, I need to be careful what I say here these days, as I've already been threatened with legal action!!

I actually don’t dislike Baby Jane but I find her presenting style simply exhausting.

She literally steam rollers the viewer, she barely draws breath. Of course this could be a deliberate tactic to distract attention away from the medicore, overpriced merchandise that she is invariably shilling.

But jeez she’s old fashioned, and so is her fella. They seem stuck in the mid 1980’s, all they’re missing are shoulder pads and leg warmers. Then again Ideal World is hardly contemporary is it?

It makes Betterware seem cutting edge :mysmilie_59:

Really?!? On here I mainly go on about Mike 'Gollum' Mason, 'Shouting' Sally Jacksxxxxxxxx, Paul 'Shreque' Becque, 'Perverse' Peter Simon, Genevieve 'Genpleaseleave' Ni Reamoinn, Howard 'Poo Poo' Griffiths, Dennice 'De Knees' Robinson and Shaun 'Nanty' ('Nan-nanty-nan' is/was his pronunciation of £9.99 though admittedly I've never personally heard him say that) Ryan, and have never had any personal trouble either from anyone named or their assistants/relatives, Ideal World or legal representatives via this forum. If I'm at all unsure about what they've said I always add something along the lines of "or so I think", but anything they've said on TV (or what IW could have made them say on TV) is out there in the public domain so it would have to be something demonstrably untrue (eg. Presenter X habitually lies about a certain product) to warrant genuine legal action.

If possible, can you at least hint at who was causing trouble; for example was it one of the presenters mentioned above or someone else, or did it relate to one of the assistants?

Flicking the channels yesterday evening and something caught my eye on a repeat of one of the watch shows. Gollum was sat there with his standard smug look, and Kevski was talking about a particularly hideous blue Vostok watch.

He was saying how Igor had been scouring the universe for the movements inside the watch as they don't make them anymore. Gollum is flicking the watch around showing the back, and it says it is a limited run of 500 watches. G remarks on how you'd be one of only 500 hundred people in the world to own one.

"No" says K. "Igor has only sourced 163 (might have been 164 I forget now, but it was in the 160's) of the movements but I had to commit to buying 500 of them. I might be left with empty cases at this rate"

Ok, fine...maybe that is true. But here's the thing, the watch Gollum was holding, was numbered 199/500. Why, if you only had 160 odd movements, would you not put them in the watches in numerical order if you didn't know if you'd manage to get them all fitted?

Unless of course, K was telling porkies. But that opinion is my own and is only allegedly what might have happened!!

They might have already had 400+ movements in their existing stock so an extra 160 would have brought the numbers past 500 in total with a few left over for repairs. Yes that makes sense if you think about it - and they're not lying apart from the "might be empty cases" part, unless a higher than average number of movements are faulty beyond repair or they can't source enough parts to modify them - but it's easy to conclude that their sales pitches can end up being horribly misleading in certain respects.

If they are left with empty cases, they can always use a different movement in them. So Kevinski saying he may be left with the cases is nonsense.

"Welcome to Peterborough the entertainment capital of the World."

That was dear old Pete's opening comment last night on the Vostok watch show.

Once again we had the chance to buy the Iraqnoplan (Ekranoplan) watch, along with so many other collectable pieces.

This was one of the three to four occasions that he and Kev get on air together each year. This is what he said a few weeks ago. Looking back though, they've been on air together more than that this year so far.

Many of the watches shown were very unique, priceless, beguiling, rare and must be insured. Of course they were all at the lowest prices ever, and unrepeatable offers.

So I hope you all managed to get the watch of your dreams.

According to the vacuum/heating/phone expert, the Google Play store has got "literally billions of apps."

Well, it has over 2 million, so he was only out by several thousand million. But what's that between friends eh?

The blonde claw "truly believes" that the Alcatel phone is THE most stylish phone she has ever seen, at any price range. It's by no means an ugly phone, but behave woman!

Considering they were ecstatic over that STK 'thing', it's not surprising that the Alcatel looks like a jewel by comparison :mysmilie_59:
