Torchy the Battery Boy was a children's programme from the late '50's. He was a puppet with large saucer eyes, and I gave Yannis the Torchy name because he reminded me of the character.

I was traumatised by Witchiepoo when I was young, from a children's programme called HR Puffnstuf. Can't remember the programme at all just that character.
