Remember when you all get your wallet out for the new, never seen before Duchump Aurora, designed by Christophe himself in his wee workshop up in the Alps, you could always just go and buy the original from Roamer that the Aurora is copying, okay slight changes to dial but it's basically the same watch.

Too early for wasps especially up here, usually see bees first in spring then wasps come later.

I’m right down on the south coast and never seen a wasp until at least May. Can’t remember the last time I bought any fly killer.

We do get the occasional bumble bee earlier if the weather is particularly warm, but certainly wouldn’t use anything to kill them.

He’d say anything to get a sale.

Glad I missed it not because of the products but the presenters. If it’s the same BA that’s on QVC then she’s ok.

I don’t know much about Botox as never had or wanted it. I suppose to keep the plastic look it has to be topped up regularly. I have been asked in the past if I’d consider Botox plastic surgery or any other such malarkey, my answer has always been you can’t improve on perfection.. i’d rather have my few wrinkles and age disgracefully rather look like a plastic Barbie. And I certainly would not like to look like Natalia a.k.a. the fish lip gargoyle.

Yep, that's Juliet Harrison Piper. She was the replacement BA for Elizabeth Grant on IW2, when Marion stopped coming over to do the shows. Then, when IW lost EG, Juliet went over to QVC with the brand - something I was always a bit surprised at, because Juliet is very much not QVC aspirational friendly. They had a go at scrubbing her up a bit, doing her hair, spending a bit of money on her and generally trying to make her more cookie cutter QVC BA, but with limited success. Anyway, she's now back on IW3, and I wonder how she feels about that. I suspect she thinks it's a bit of a backwards step, what with the bright lights of Chiswick Park a distant memory now.

I noticed that, and thought it odd that QVC is clearly still selling EG, and even some of the stuff is on Waitlist or extended dispatch. As you say, it's unusual.

What is a Cookie Cutter QVC BA,

A certain 'look' which Brand Ambassadors on QVC are expected to have. It's a bit American Fox News - thin side of normal, big bouncy blow dry, make up done a very specific way. I call it 'cookie cutter' because all the BAs essentially look the same because they've gone through this 'QVCification' process before being allowed on air. Tim Briton was also scrubbed up a bit before he was allowed on air, as was Jess - though this had limited success (don't know if she's still doing Tili, but QVC couldn't remove her screeching after all).

The rare exception was Rosa who does Yankee Candles, who is extremely fat and doesn't in any way adhere to QVC's ridiculous beauty standards. I think they still permit her to appear in vision because (a) she's popular with viewers, and (b) she's actually very good at her job.
