I watched it a bit when I was a child but never really got in to it, my brother did though. He still watches it but criticises it a lot, he seems to think it's rather silly.

I can imagine it has a rather cult following with opinions running high. This is the only place I comment on TV and it's just for a laugh and a bit of community, we know a bit about each other's lives.

Happy to admit that I am part of the Cult following of Dr Who. It’s a very long time since it’s been a children’s show, when I watched it from behind a cushion. Fondly remember my Mum watching Crossroads, and I loved Triangle! The last time I saw Coronation Street, Terry Duckworth had saved Bet from a fire in the Rovers and Dirty Den was still in the Queen Vic!! Give me Sci Fi any day of the week, life is too short for dreary Soaps!!

As we are discussing TV what are peoples views on Doctor Who.

Even though it’s a children’s show in a way, it goes right over my head, and my dad who remembers it kinda right from the beginning, says it’s no longer the show he grew up with. This next series could be its last.

Yet many YouTubers, are so passionate about it, and if you leave a message where it doesn’t fit the narrative, you get like how dare you

I watched it from the beginning. Rarely watched it when Peter Davison, Colin Baker or Sylvester? Played the Doctor. Nor did I like Jody Whittaker. Haven’t watched it with the new chap yet, so will reserve judgement.

I'm sorry you feel the site is not being moderated fairly. However that is not the case. I know yourself and another member have issues with each other, you accuse each other of the same things, but neither can produce proof so our hands are tied.

You were given an warning as one of your posts last night crossed the line using inappropriate language.

Agree with your last sentence. There are some things that cross a line, and using a certain expression definitely comes under that heading. It was not appropriate, and it's a pity the person couldn't just admit it and put their hands up. Chucking teddy in the corner again is just an over-reaction.

This whole saga between saintslad and DoC is very unfortunate. I do feel that @Sazza has been given a bit of a rough ride here and I've seen her act with nothing but fairness and even-handedness throughout. She has to act on facts, not accusations or hunches. The facts are that there is no definitive proof that sainstlad is an IW employee, and he himself has consistently denied it. Despite our suspicions, we have to accept this as a fact until (if) someone were able to disprove it. Were Sazza to summarily ban saintslad on the basis of our 'gang' deciding there's something fishy about him, then she might as well change her name to 'Trump' and have done with it.

This forum is also incredibly lightly moderated, and it's a very good example of how light-touch can work well. There are things said on this forum which would be instantly removed and the user carded or banned elsewhere. We're treated like grown-ups here, and in a lot of ways we get away with murder. Still, it's a privately-owned forum and no-one has a right to post.

I hope that DoC and saintslad could come to a truce. I hate to say it, but it's DoC who needs to resist being triggered by the mere presence of saintslad, put his feelings about saintslad's true identity to one side and crack on with what he does best: insightful comments, good photos, a great turn of phrase and general entertainment.
