The usual wild claims about collagen by Pedro - within a short time you will see a spurt in nail growth and it may make your hair thicker. Doesn't seem to have worked for him, although he often claims he'd be bald if not for collagen.

Then the more sinister claims about it maybe helping if you have mobility problems or arthritis.

And, of course, you must multi-buy, as I say, not only stock up, ok.

I remember him as a bit of a bit part player, to be fair. The type of 'celebrity' who just missed out on sitting next to Lionel Blair on Give Us a Clue, but was snapped up by STV to sit near Danny Baker on Win Lose or Draw. I also vaguely remember seeing him behaving like a **** on Children's TV, in the 1990s, but that's about that. Then again, I was about 20 years too old for those types of hows by then. A Bafta? Really? For what, exactly? Nothing for the list of televisual masterpieces I've mentioned previously, surely? One of the two us must have it wrong. One of us must have forgets the highly rated performances he made in TV classics of the time. Which one - I'll let you decide.
A BAFTA? Pete? Nah, he must mean two other fellas..:) Although I was rather too old(!) for his kids' TV efforts, I do recall seeing him on TV - mercifully, only briefly - during the 1990's. Unless I'm mistaken, and the acronym actually stands for B%o&dy Awful Fulltime T%%t & A&se&ole award?

I'm the last person to praise Andi Peters, can't stand him on the box, but the only leaving celebration I could see the other bloke receiving would be a mass sigh of relief and fingers pointing towards the door.

Hello all! Not posted for a while. Just popped I.W on while having lunch - Pedro’s selling leather bags…and talking ***te as usual. Says (twice) the backpack he’s selling has a built-in AirTag. No it doesn’t. (Hello?…A.S.A?….is anybody there?) Says the hold-all he’s selling should be put on your insurance - it’s £99.99 🙄 And why does he never provide USEFUL details for products - dimensions, internal features etc? Because he’s a lazy, incompetent ass, that’s why.

Oh, and as we know some I.W employees lurk on here, here’s a bit of material for you… The naff flower teddies Pedro was fawning over last night are on sale in Lidl next week for £7.99 (or £14.99 + £2.99 P&P at Idiotic World). Here’s the link so you can show a proper direct comparison on screen. You can thank me later 😘

Could explain why those girls have stacked so much weight on. Comfort eating.
Don't let Of-the-Masons hear you saying that, he reckoned they were luvverly looking ladies.

They gave the impression of people desperate to flog over-priced shavers, enthusiastically latching on to any nonsensical praise Market-Stall Mike came out with.

AND they claim the products come with a lifetime guarantee - but. of course, only for as long as the company lasts and they don't have a great track record with that.

I'm thinking VE must have either had a change of heart or at the last moment had a change of mind and ended up with an error on the dial of the space race. 24 jewel is clearly visible on the dial.

Space Race watch, has 24 jewels on the dial, the movement inside is the YN55 (it's an Orient F6922 with an Seiko Epson branded rotor, Seiko took over Orient) which has 22 jewels.

Now on VE site they have two versions listed, NH35-325A745 & YN55-325A745

The only one that seems to be on the market is the YN55 which makes the dial wrong, so at some point maybe VE changed their mind about the movement they were going to use, but maybe the dials had already been made so they just used the inaccurate dials thinking most folks won't notice?
Why would I want a watch that says "Made in Lithuania" on it?
(And when the movements are not)

As a talking point in the pub with the same people who approach M.Mason?!

Lazy incompetent ass 🤣That’s very polite - he is a lying shyster of the lowest order

I watched the original IW from the start because Paul Lavers and Steve Whatley were so funny as QVC presenters and as a result was also a Create & Craft member with the same login etc and when C&C became Hochanda it seems my IW login was preserved because earlier this week IW rang me as I had for the first time bought something from this incarnation so I think their ‘systems’ must have picked it up and thought I might give them positive feedback. I couldn’t tell what the chap was saying at first as his English was heavily accented so I asked him,“Are you asking me what I think about the presenters and presentations?” He confirmed this so I gave him both barrels telling him I had bought something I usually get from TJC that had moved across and I hadn’t seen a presentation as I never watch the channel as the current presenters told lies and the presentations were awful. I hope the higher- ups listen to my no doubt recorded call.

I’m guessing you are a crafter.

Keith Smith has started more companies than he’s had hot dinners. He had Kanban, then changed it to something else, now I think he runs Paper Dienamics
Indeed. And Paper Dienamics is about to fold (geddit) as well - accounts and confirmation statement overdue, and had to apply to have compulsory strike-off proceedings discontinued (which has happened multiple times in the past).

"Made" sounds better than assembled.

Very few watches are say 100% from the country they are assembled/made in, even low to mid level Swiss watches, many have the cases/bracelets/packaging bought in from China, and it's only movement & assembly (testing/regulating etc) that's Swiss, it's only when you get to the luxury/high end luxury sector of the market, ie Rolex where they make every part of their watches themselves in Switzerland at five large factories they own.

As for Lithuania & Vostok Europe, although parts will come from a variety of countries (Movements - Japan/Malaysia, Case/bracelet/glass/packaging - China etc) it's all designed, assembled, tested, regulated etc in Lithuania by Vostok Europe themselves.
While VE watches aren't everyone's taste (suit folks with big wrists) & Kevski/Ideal World's sales tactics are poor, the watches themselves are decent quality, sturdy with well known reliable movements (Seiko/Citizen), just a shame they've picked IW as a retailer to use.

Contrast VE with say Christophe Duchamp, Swan & Edgar, Gamages, those brands only order from a catalogue, they do sod all themselves.

Hi there, headintheclouds, I may be hallucinating (due to too much IW viewing?), but I also think those flower teddies - or something very like - are on sale in Poundland. OK, I know that not everything in Poundland is just a £1 these days, but I bet they were cheaper than IW.

Torchy was at it again last night with the ‘I would never lie to you’ routine. Explained that when presenting an item if he doesn’t like it or think much too it then he just presents it and doesn’t gush over it. Funny that, because every item he presents it’s fantastic or he’s bought it, or he could do with it. What a load of bullsh*t. I wouldn’t trust him as far as I could throw him

When you think about it, this is nearly always going to be the unavoidable part of sales, whether selly telly or otherwise. The salesperson is there to SELL the product, so very rarely (and never on selly telly!) are we going to have salespeople saying 'to be honest mate, don't buy it, it's sh1te!!!' unless they're maybe working their last few days and couldn't give a feck :)

So in that context you're right, they can't be trusted, everything they sell is wonderful ... apparently.

Yep, VE look decent enough quality wise. Compare with the likes of S&E which they'd have us believe are just as good ;)

John Collier must have a clearance sale on blazers again. Fan heater first. Minus 20 up his back passage way tonight. Still, at just £3.75 on four flexis, it does seem a real bargain. Oh… he means £14.99 over four flexis…
Power of advertising. Every time someone mentions John Collier, the jingle “John Collier, John Collier, the window to watch” from their tv advert pings up in my head🤣
