I really cannot believe this, but I had the tv on mute with IW on screen and went upstairs for a few minutes. I came downstairs and saw the Rose flowered bears on screen and I immediately said out loud ‘they’re a joy’ (sarcastically…)..turned on the sound and Pete said ‘Joy,they are a real joy’


I know what he’s saying before he says it!
Should I be worried? Psychiatrist visit tomorrow methinks

I'm thinking VE must have either had a change of heart or at the last moment had a change of mind and ended up with an error on the dial of the space race. 24 jewel is clearly visible on the dial.

Space Race watch, has 24 jewels on the dial, the movement inside is the YN55 (it's an Orient F6922 with an Seiko Epson branded rotor, Seiko took over Orient) which has 22 jewels.

Now on VE site they have two versions listed, NH35-325A745 & YN55-325A745

The only one that seems to be on the market is the YN55 which makes the dial wrong, so at some point maybe VE changed their mind about the movement they were going to use, but maybe the dials had already been made so they just used the inaccurate dials thinking most folks won't notice?

nah Peter, you're way out there, if it's the YN55 (although could be an NH35, but who knows unless we see inside the watch), then it's only smaller micro brands like VE that use it, it ain't in any expensive watches.

Oh and btw it ain't an 28,800 bph movement it's 21,600 bph.

I see Pervy Patio Pete has been down to a theatre’s costume wardrobe and pulled out a 1930s gangster suit. Wonder if he’s got a violin case under the counter? Not with a machine gun but fitted out with watches. Reminds me of a chap by Oxford Circus underground station used to have a guitar case full of watches that he could easily close and scarper if any police officers were in sight.
