Ok, I'm NOT kidding you, I literally just went on to the YT feed and stopped at a random bit of the presentation. Just when he said ...

Have a buy, if you're a sea mistress or sea man!!!

Of course I started to think of something a bit naughty but I'll leave it there ;)

Come on, is it April 1st? That so called sewing machine has surely got to be a joke??? It's like something you'd buy a child!!!
Join us naughty ones, you know you want to☺️

I’m sure he has his own language or he’s pig ignorant. I make a lot of my own clothes and class myself as a seamstress. The male equivalent is tailor.

I know as much about sewing as you could write on the back of a postage stamp. But even I could see that ridiculous machine would just about meet its level of optimum maximisation putting a new set of unnecessary flies on Action Man’s jumpsuit. The people who plan this stuff (the ones they keep in special rooms round the back), you’d love to hear them explain their rationale for selling a tiny plastic sewing machine more suitable for Barbie’s craft room as a serious working product? They do genuinely think they are selling to eighthwits, don’t they? As for Simon…he’d sell you a chocolate sun visor for a trip to the Sahara by suggesting you keep it in the fridge beforehand. He has ABSOLUTELY no shame whatsoever.

He said someone emailed/texted in saying they'd been charged £57 for a zip to be fixed or redone in some way. 'Buy this, do it yourself' he says. One, I would assume doing a zip takes a degree of skill? Two, the thing was wobbling about all over the place! Surely it's at risk of falling over unless being used for small work with light material? I know feck all about sewing, however surely trying to feed larger/heavier material through that toy would be nigh on impossible?

Can Torchy stitch up, though- other than the watch buyers? Did he actually sew when he was on the crafting channel? Or just stand there looking like Captain Black at a karaoke night? That sewing machine is like a Sally Jacks sales pitch - no depth, no substance and no quality. I would be worried about injuring myself using it - particularly to sew up a bleeding thumb.

Right, we have 50 pairs of jeans to iron today, 25 pairs of curtains and 10 sets of king size bedding. Did you bring the iron?

Yes I did ...

I thought that this is a quilt makers iron? They sold them as such on C&C. have a similar one in my sewing room that I use for pressing seams and adhesive interfacings whilst dressmaking. Big iron used to actually ironing finished garments.

“It’s not a typo,” says Terry Scott. He means we might think that dolls house sewing machine at £19.99 should have been a more expensive .99…Agreed on typo. You could indeed think the whole channel was a massive one. An interesting misspelling of Twats Selling Tat…As for the toy sewing machine - £9.99 possibly? £1.99?? 0.99p???

The Dr. now says he likes to chat with older people…People like him, does he mean?

Personally, I didn't see any 'bullying'. I went back and watched this on YouTube when the first bullying comments were made earlier and although MM is trying his best 'Del Boy' impersonation, the quips and jokes were with Alex, not at him. I never got any impression of Mason lording it over Alex, but more his jesting with him and the subject matter, which could be perceived as 'boring'. Apologies to any bedding enthusiasts!

I see AK said earlier he didn't feel bullied. I didn't perceive any of it as bullying, just tongue-in-cheek joking about AK's earnest interest in bedding & pillows.

The 'falling asleep' was pre-empted by MM himself before the preceding break and was a joke at how AK was going to give the full technical explanation of the pillow after the break, which he did (never heard the pockets described as cassettes before) and how AK could spend hours talking about it.

His feigned sleeping when AK began describing the pillow technicalities was a joke like somebody commenting on another's perceived 'boring' hobby of philately or numismatics or train spotting. He was joking about the 'obsession with pillows' and the in-depth explanation AK can give and is enthusiastic for, not insulting Alex himself, not denigrating him, actual or implied, nor insulting his character. Other comments MM made implied his respect for AK and his knowledge and enthusiasm.

Sometimes I think you guys are ultra-sensitive when trying to critique this shower. There are many examples, as attributed, where they do cross the line, take liberties, misspeak or tell mistruths, but on this occasion this scenario, to me, did not appear as overt, nor covert bullying and a misread of the attempted humour and MM's attempted entertainment 'schtick'.
Whatever AK might feel about MM's attitude to him on screen, it doesn't look good when broadcast, and in my opinion Masons is using Knowles good nature to have a dig when he can.

Tosh. It looked fine, didn't see or sense any bullying and didn't see any digs at AK. Just some joking and jesting around the scintillating topic, or otherwise, of bedding and pillow technology!

More low quality tat. He reckons you can sew curtains on that teeny, tiny sewing machine. 🤣🤣🤣
There's no point in buying one of these mini machines if you want to repair things or make things at home. You're better off shopping around for a full-size basic model, and having a look in somewhere like Hobbycraft, for example. Something like a Brother machine is good (I've been using mine for six years now, cost me £78.00). The basic model now costs about £89.00 and the reviews are very good. Suitable for a beginner who wants a sturdy machine that's not overly expensive but copes with a range of fabrics and is simple to set up and use. The mini machines are usually not strongly built, a complete waste of money, and can't cope with a range of different fabric thicknesses.
