Those remote controlled cars seem a reasonable price tbf (I am not interested) but what this proves is that IW were ripping everyone off before Xmas when they were being sold at £30 and flying out according to Mike.
Seems like they have flown back in…

Looks like they are bringing back the stock that flew out 😂 😂

I know this was an item shown yesterday, Peter Vol-au-vent was demonstrating an electric rotating mop, think the price was £59.99, they did a direct price comparison and the product they showed on screen was £199.99. The presenter said ooh it’s the exactly the same. Err I think not, it may look the same but the £199.99 one was recommended by the Good Housekeeping Institute, so been tested extensively. The Ideal World one has not been recommended and has not been tested. Probably be a load of crap

Early hours horology show update.

Janice, the Horology numpty that keeps giving.

Latest horology titbit from that renowned watch expert Janice “I would never lie to you” Mordumbo.

“Now we sell, automatic movements, Swiss Made, gold plated with 13 jewels, brilliant.”

No you don’t, you sell watches with Quartz movements (Ronda 5030D) with 13 Jewels.

“Just to give you an indication of how good this watch is <points at watch> 22 jewels, over 1,500 individual working components here.”

Having 22 jewels doesn’t equate to “how good this movement is”, especially not because it has more jewels than a quartz movement, most standard Automatics have 21 – 26 Jewels in them, movements like ETA & Sellita have 25 & 26 respectively.

As for 1,500 individual components <pissing myself laughing at this point>, 150 more like. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

On the life-time warranty

“If you buy this watch, if in 10 years’ time if this mechanism fails for whatever reason, as long as you haven’t smashed it, obviously if you throw a brick on it that’s not going to count, but if it just stops working (rambles on about a personal story re cost of repair £100-£200) you never have to worry about that. So if for whatever reason say, 10 years, 15 years, 20 years, 30 years, let’s say hypothetically you’re in your 20s right now, you buy this watch, and I don’t know 50 years later you’re now 70, 50 years later finally something happens with the movement on this watch, it’s not winding there is an issue. You get in touch with the company, the warranty, it’s a life-time warranty, they’ll repair, replace, they’ll sort it out.”

More utter sh*te, You obviously didn’t read this part in the life-time warranty.

Does not cover normal wear & tear.

Every automatic movement suffers normal wear & tear, there is no way on this earth that a watch company is going to replace a watch or give free repair/service after 10 years if it’s not working due to normal wear & tear, let alone 50 years. The only thing that’s that warranty covers is defective parts, which will show up really early in the watches life. The life-time warranty is just a marketing gimmick.
