Great post! Thank you.

So IW and their Duchamps(for example) should be selling these using strategies like ā€˜they are a decent watch at a decent price and make a nice gift etc etc ( rather than the heirloom, get it insured bluster that they usually come out with).

And that is my main issue on IW. All the presenters love everything and everything is terrific, superb blah blah..you see,how can any of them say everything is wonderful and terrific unless theyā€™ve actually used it/them! They read the description on the packaging and perhaps demonstrate which is okayish but to state that something is the best item they have ever seen is taking the biscuit.
I can tell you my car is superb because Iā€™ve used it etc . Every dehumidifier bag is Gods gift to dehumidifier bags. How do they know that? ā€¦

Talking of which I bought the same ones in Poundland and guess what it says on the label..ā€Not recommended for bathroomsā€. Now,I donā€™t know why that is but IW never say that. In fact quite the opposite.

Boo and boo again. Mr Angry today! They just overhype Everything

Yes as too your example for Duchamp & IW, although a Duchamp or any watch (if it lasts) i suppose can end up as an heirloom piece.
I look at heirloom pieces in two ways, one as something was of monetary value passed down and still has some value, the other being a watch with more of a sentimental value passed down, a watch received as a gift on a special occasion etc.

Probably cause bathrooms have too much moisture/condensation for those wee disposable dehumidifier to do a good job/ and you'll probably go through them quicker. Okay for standard room with normal levels of moisture in the air okay, but a bathroom especially with a shower needs something that's going to clear the air quicker, ie heater (in winter), good ventilation (extractor fan / open window) will help get rid off a lot of the hot moist air quickly. The wee dehumidifier would be okay for the rest of the day after you've cleared the hot moist air after a shower/bath.

I see the channel is back in Black Friday mode

It's called "Black Friday Recall" on their website.

Strange name to use "Recall", especially as the recall is in red, recall usually means shops/manufacturers recall products that may have/or are faulty.

If they are having a sort of recap/redo of Black Friday then i would have thought something like "Black Friday Callback" or "Black Friday Extra" might sound better.

More like Black Friday crap we couldn't shift so we're having another go.

I don't remember the smoke smell being that bad, plenty of cig butts on the ground and burn marks, but not so much of a smell from smoke, but there again the urine smell was always so strong I could never smell anything else.
You used to be able to smoke upstairs on London buses when I was young. All you could see was the fog of smokešŸ˜µā€šŸ’«šŸ˜³
