Mason said he is not a fan of buying things he doesn’t need at the time. These people should watch videos of their old shows. Doesn’t he usually make a selling point of saying you are better off having something you don’t need now, rather than needing something you don’t have in the future….

I was also wondering about Mason tonight and the way he was dismissively referring to Alex at certain times. Maybe harmless banter. But it came over to me as having an edge to it, with an undercurrent of you are either one of us or you aren’t.

Watching them working together now, there is definitely something in Mason’s digs at Knowles. Nothing to do with the dodgy price comparisons issue, of course. The same one the rest of them go with, and apparently embrace.

Vicious vibe on show this evening. Ridiculing a colleague mercilessly in any walk of life is usually dressed up as ‘banter’ by the protagonists involved. Before banter became more popular as a word, just having a ‘joke’ was often used. Unfortunately, for the victim, the joke usually isn’t funny.

Alex is too nice a person to bite back. Maybe if he did, Mike might realise.

I was only joking is the classic bullies defence

If he (Alex) wants to last working at the channel, then I hope he succeeds. I wouldn’t want to see him forced out because he displays a moral code – unlike quite a few of the others we see on screen there. Quite a number of seemingly very unpleasant people appearing on that channel on a regular basis. Alex doesn’t seem to fit with the culture there very easily.

I was reading Wing Commander Knowles saying nobody at IW was out to hoodwink people.
I don't believe he is - he's selling, he's going to accentuate the positives of a product.

But I don't accept that's the case with Mike of the Morons, Dirty Peter and Yannis Torchy.
They'd trample over their granny to make a sale and then tell her she'll be fine with some Emu Balm and a slug of collagen.
They revel in nonsense comparisons, salt their spiel with famous names they hope people will associate with the tat and make ludicrous claims - like Pedro's persistent fairytale about the owner of a collagen firm winning gold medals.

Torchy tells us they’ve just rung the ‘Special Number’ for the very first time to get through to some ‘Important People’ to get a special piece of tat reinstated. The ‘BAT PHONE’….Managed to capture a screen shot of this historic event in shopping television history.
