So you discover the greatest skincare product of all time. Based upon Nobel Prize winning science ( spoiler, it isn’t ). Everyone wants it, incredibly expensive ingredients, no other company has anything like it. Massive trial involving 100 people for a whole 8 weeks shows miraculous results. What’s the first thing you do? Get it into Harrods or Selfridges at £500 for a few grams, get articles in scientific journals explaining how revolutionary it is. No you flog it on a low rent high tat shopping channel on 5 flexi payments between a £12.99 lumber pillow and a crap handbag. Seriously? The before and after pictures are taken under different lighting conditions. It looks like they have just increased the brightness and lowered the contrast for the after pictures.

If it sells out, like almost everything they sell, how is there stock in the warehouse to clear?

I’m pretty sure that the New Sick Do Buy Dubai air fresheners have been on previously at £9.99 for all 4. They’re now at clearance price of £4.99 each or get 20% off for all 4 “scents” for £15.97. Not that I’d buy them at any price or accept them as a free gift.

Caught Of-the-Masons for five minutes.
Yet another former job - he worked in a warehouse distributing to pharmacies and started work at 5 am.
Reason for his story?
A colleague had a thermos flask he used from 5am to 5pm to keep coffee hot.
IW price a fiver - some not direct comparison = some silly price over 50 quid.

I remember Of the Masons on Bid TV years ago. Can't remember what he was flogging but he seemed to be channelling Harry Enfield's 'Loadsamoney' character. Barra Boi was aggressively urging us to FLOG 'EM, BUY LOADS AND FLOG 'EM FOR TEN TIMES THE PRICE. Was really loud and aggressive (or desperate). Not sure why he didn't buy loads himself and flog 'em for a massive profit...

It really is bordering on nauseating watching him trying to sell these watches… The Trevor thing really is sick bucket reaching. I do genuinely hope he is real.

I'm wondering if Trevor is the new Muriel. I expect he will be on here soon, saying how much he likes IW and the fabulous products they sell at bargain prices

Had the chance to go with partner and her mum to a wedding evening reception in Southwell this evening. No thanks.. Too much socialising and a load of people I don’t know. Shopping television and a bit of peace instead for me tonight…Oh that dreadfully tacky studio layout…

I have set 'watch' and set alert (bell) notifications for a few forums and threads. I have not set email notifications.

This IW Random Musings thread is the only one where I don't get any notifications for, unless it's a reply to my post.

I don't get new post alerts at all, so have 'missed' the last 100 pages of posts...

Works ok in all other threads outside of IW forums. C&C, TJC, etc.

Just me? I've tried resetting the IW top-level Forum group watch/alert, and for Random Musings threads, watch/notifications, to no avail.

But as the posts are all the same, repeated, ad infinitum, don't think I've missed much. Cue trolling, flames!

Hope you all had a good Xmas and wish you a HNY, 2025, the year IW gets credible and ethical.

I'm not good with a lot of people I don't know. A few years ago just after my mum died a relative invited me to their birthday party, I wouldn't know a soul there and nearly declined. A very friendly lady spent a lot of time chatting to me and she was so nice. I found out recently that my relative asked her to keep an eye on me if I wasn't mixing well!

Same with me, Muttley. My wife and me led a pretty quiet life. Minimal socialising. Then, she dies, and I meet a complete opposite - a total extrovert. Parties, pubs, dinner parties, clubs - you name it. A lot of it I try and force myself to do and then actually enjoy it. Other things I know I’m going to hate and I have to be strong and say I’m not going go. Tonight is a case in point. Here comes Walter…Can I change my mind…
