Well, well, well.......I switch over to IW after ten days away and Mike-of-the-masons is reading out a text from "Pedro in Cheshire" saying he lost six stone by using a slimming belt and a vibro-plate! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Who was it? Own up!

Of-the-masons was taking it seriously, saying that was all the inspiration you need
Guilty as charged. :D

Everyone, can I just be serious for a minute, very serious actually.

I have a warning for you, please take note.

I've just seen Natalia on the YT feed saying 'you can wear this doing almost anything!' when referring to the infrared EMS slimming belt.

BE VERY CAREFUL FOLKS, VEEEEEEEEERY CAREFUL.

I bought the belt a few weeks back and was wearing it whilst innocently sitting watching reruns of the test card on TV. I farted and suddenly found myself back in the Cretaceous period face to face with a Tyrannosaurus Rex!!! It must have been caused by some sort of space time continuum anomaly caused by the belt mixed with the fart.

I feared for my life, so much so I farted again and BOOM I was back in my living room plonked in front of the telly!

Needless to say the belt was whipped off and thrown in the bin!

You have been WARNED :)

Amazing Dr Who Memorabilia Show this evening. Brought back memories of Paul Lavers’s and Harry Dashbourne’s magnificent Ideal World Collectibles Extravaganzas from the early 2000s. Using the Head of Security as a model for The Roboman costumes was a brilliant plan…

It just sums up the cheapskate and ad hoc nature of the place. Not paying out for a male model to come in and show off the coats. Instead using the ‘Head of Security’ to do it. The guy was very personable, and looked the part to an extent, but clearly there had been no preparation for him as to what was required. He kept pulling up the coat partly over his face to illustrate the warmth it was meant to provide, but whilst doing that, completely muffled the sound coming out of his microphone. He did this a number of times, and it actually sounded like he was slagging off the coat by putting his hand over his mouth to disguise what he really thought of the cheap and nasty looking garment he had on.

Everything seems to be done there without any proper preparation or thought. Winging it. Bluffing your way through. All well and good until something goes wrong, or a question is asked that you never researched, and it makes you look even more ridiculous and low rent on an all too regular basis. For me, it all boils down to the view you have of your audience. I guess if that is a contemptuous one, there is no incentive to prepare properly because in your minds they’re all a bunch of ‘idiots’ anyway, and you don’t have to try.
