For me sailing from Southampton or Portsmouth is ideal as both are only 30 minutes away. Can’t handle all the hanging around at airports. Feel seasick on the IOW or the Gosport ferries so a cruise is not for me. I know the modern cruise liners are fitted with stabilisers but I’m not very stable on dry land

I understand about airports, it's really tiring even if it all goes well. I'm OK on boats on the Thames but wasn't sure if I would be seasick the first time so I took medication with me. Was absolutely fine, you barely feel you're moving. But it doesn't suit everybody.
