The trouble is, it used to be a really professional outfit in terms of broadcast quality. The change is hard to believe or accept. It must be worse for people that used to work on the version where broadcasting standards and continuity seemed to be a priority.

I tend to imagine there's no-one in the studio* anyway, which is why the standards are so ropey.
It's just Pedro on his own, in front of the robot camera, his hysterical pleas and soothsaying sermons on why you must check out your baskets echoing around a vacant studio. His gallery queries and stock updates are imaginary. The viewer texts and people coming in just made up. He's there, on his own…
Gallery staff and floor manager leave him to it. Set things up, then sod off to enjoy a 30min vape and catch up on TikTok.
When they can hear him banging on the table inside they know to nip back in, queue up new on-screen graphics, swap the plastic frying pans over to the solar powered night vision goggles, get him to neck another collagen capsule, tell him he's so funny, and bam - they can sod off to enjoy another 45 minute break outside.
*which given the skeleton crew VGL employ is likely

For large parts of the year, my money would be on "not" and "only".
At the moment, despite it being mild, I'm going for "cold".
As in "the bedroom was so cold. The house was cold. The sheets were damp and cold. Bet was cold. It's going to be cold, cold, cold, can't sleep in the cold. Cold, cold, cold, alright, cold, eight pound....first of four flexis......to stop the cold, cold,cold......"

‘Herself’ making a ‘gag’ out of Storm Bert being called ‘Storm Ernie’ - i.e. Bert and Ernie from Sesame Street… Call me an ambulance immediately- my sides are splitting. I’m sure anybody who has had their property damaged in this awful weather, or worse, a relative killed, will absolutely love that particular ‘comedic’ analogy, or lack of one. Just stick to selling rags, Luv…The wreck of the Lusitania lies off the coast of Cork. There must a few jokes from that one for you, too.

He is a LARGE PART…A MASSIVELY LARGE ONE.
As someone who wanders 'all' shopping channels, but rarely stops for long, as much as I try, I know IW is owned / operated by TJC now. How do the two compare against each other over all? I'd say TJC has the upper hand in 'professionalism', but if they are to all intents and purposes the same company, shouldn't they operate with the same 'ism'?

Has pedro been in an open top car in high winds? His hair looks worse than usual tonight.
