Thanks for all the positive feedback regarding my new business venture. I have some more exiting news, my own heritage brand of exquisite luxury precision hand assembled masterpieces of horology are now available to buy.

I was expecting to launch at Baselworld, but recent events meant it didn't happen. As a result I have a handful of pre-production watches which have become available to you, the discerning collector. Here's 'View attachment 18949The Spitfire'. This timeless wristwatch has been specially designed by my in house team of watch specialists as a tribute to that famous jet bomber, which found fame in the battle of the bulge, 1956. Complete with genuine imitation leather strap, this masterpiece of the horologist's art is available to you for only £149.99 (RRP £1500 - please check our website) and comes complete with a free duffel coat, embroidered with a name of your choice (max three characters)

Ladies and Gentlemen, Cannon & Ball watches present 'The Spitfire'.

Brilliant! Max 3 characters on the duffel coat, lol!

Ah well, we've had CCCP, still can't believe some of the rubbish out of the experts mouth.

I'm still confused at his description for the Sputnik - 2, "has a hematite (although sounded like hematide) lens, curved lens, but curves up from the case, it's very, very synonymous with the space looking watch (referring to the Omega, he did use Omega's name in first show when he described it as the same type of lens they use)"

Hematite? What planet is he on (pun intended). The Sputnik has Hardened Mineral Glass & the Moonwatch has Hesalite (although they have Sapphire versions for the non purists ;))

Anyway it's on to Morphic tonight, see they have one, which I'm sure Mr Mason will make a big deal on, it's the M77 for £64.99 as against RRP of $480 (£380 ish). We'll be getting bargain of the year, must be a pricing mistake etc, but before anyone thinks they are getting some high end watch at a bargain, it's got the Epson Y121 quartz movement in it, retail price for that movement is about £6, wholesale price will be a lot cheaper. ;)

I'll tell you what, tonights CCCP watch show, disregarding the selly stuff, that Jim bloke has potential to oust dirty Pete as the actual funny presenter if wobbly jaw Sean lets him

I caught a bit of the show and I think Shaun (and the gallery) were getting a bit nervous with his antics. He started making fun of a pic they put on screen of a (Russian?) military general of some sort. He commented on all the medals the person was wearing and that they were at risk of falling over! They then put up a pic of a battle ship. He then said the general better not stand too close to the edge or he'll topple in!

On the one hand it was funny, on the other it was in a way making a mockery of the provenance they try to establish. In short it tells you what he thinks of all that stuff, however they're happy enough to show it to draw people in.

I'm guessing that MM will be coveting one or more of the watches but his ambitions to own them will be thwarted once more!

I find it very strange, that, like just now with the dwindling stocks of Dormeo, he is freely giving sound advice advice on how customers can obtain a Dormeo mattress ahead of others, yet when it comes to watches he desires, he and the goddess (on his behalf), are unable to follow his own advice and continually misses out. It really is mystifying.

I see they've finally put Vostok Europe in the schedule for Friday evening, obviously Igor, Kevin and all at IW have worked miracles to get these watches to IW for this show. Bound to be a bumper show for watch week.
Also another show has been added for Sunday, no details yet, but most likely Mathey-Tissot, they've been mentioned in the watch week promo so must appear somewhere, probable have another of those limited edition watches, that Kevin has managed to get all the stk in the world, annoying all the other distrubtors, all because IW are so great.

She's definitely earning her corn tonight, premium quartz movements, top grade mineral glass, leather on a par with watches with 000s in their prices, oh and the SAS who dares win look. :ROFLMAO:

What i also find intriguing, is that there is never an ordinary looking or average quality watch, every watch is fantastic looking, stunning, of the highest quality materials, best crystals, finest stainless steel and best quality leather & premium silicone, premium movements and highest workmanship, on a par with high end luxury watches priced in the thousands. Yet they contain movements ranging from a fiver to twenty quid, it's just mind boggling the amount of superlatives that can be attributed to ordinary cheap affordable watches. :ROFLMAO:

Shes never seen a drum movement before, so unique.
She's surprised watches have never been made like this in the past, surprised she's never seen anything like this, she loves how simple a concept it is and how beautifully executed it is by these guys.

Well here's a suggestion for Emma, go to Ali and you'll see folk that have used this design in the past, oh and they are a lot cheaper. ;)

This little exchange just sums up the over the top exaggerated nonsense we get on these watch shows.

Mike – “look at that dial, it’s like a tornado going on there”

Emma – “Really clever use of that, sort of tooling or engineering that you can do to metalwork, to give it that texture and give it that movement, to make this a really mesmerising dial. Lots of functionality through this as well, you’ve got your 24 hours, your second hand, your chronograph as well, little date window, love how that is popped there right at the bottom. Then these contrast hands, giving it such an impact, really working with that fantastic premium silicone strap as well. This is a really, really cool forward thinking design in timepieces, it’s bang up to date.”

Mike – “and it’s under £120, I mean how I don’t know, why I don’t know and how and why, wow”

Emma – “how & why, yeah I mean I wish I could answer that question, it doesn’t really add up does it, you’ve all that functionality, all that quality, all of that build quality, and you know in every single one of these a precision Japanese quartz movement, every single one of these a non-glare scratch resistant mineral crystal glass, in every single one of these surgical grade stainless steel throughout, you know you’ve got premium leathers or premium silicone, as we’ve seen In this, or premium Milanese straps or premium bracelets, these are really top end premium quartz timepieces throughout the Morphic range and sensational prices.”

Mike – “that was the blue, this is the red, fabulous, I mean all boxes are ticked for all style preferences, haven’t they.”

Emma - “Yeah definitely, I love that shot that was little more distant, looked so classic, this belongs alongside, you know those high end Swiss brands, in terms of design, really sit alongside them very, very strongly.”o_O:ROFLMAO:

Yeah we get it Emma, their PREMIUM.:ROFLMAO:

You are right, people keep buying them so he can never buy one himself. I think we should have a whip round and try to raise £5, now the street markets are re-opening I'm sure we can get him a decent one😂

She mentioned that many retailers will be selling the watches well above RRP ...

... emmm, okay then, we believe you ;)

Couldn't watch all the show last night, too skin crawling:sick:
Just noticing tonight's efforts, MM has a watch up his sleeve again, wonder what it is:unsure: More off topic discussions:ROFLMAO:

Yeah as someone else mentioned, due to EVERYTHING they sell being AMAZING, I get like that as well. It's more of a turn off than a turn on!

YOU ARE SELLING WATCHES THAT ARE, IF ANYTHING, OFTEN OVERPRICED AT THE £100 - £500 YOU SELL THEM FOR. STOP TRYING TO CONVINCE US THEY SHOULD BE SELLING FOR X TIMES MORE AND THAT EVERY SINGLE ONE IS AN AMAZING BARGAIN. YOU ... WOULDN'T ... STAY ... IN ... BUSINESS ... IF ... THIS ... WAS ... THE ... CASE!!!

'If you were to buy this off <insert manufacturer name here> website you'd be paying £999.99 (so what mug's going to do that?!?) our usual price is £699.99 (so what mug's going to pay that?!?) but for this hour only (until the next show that is) we're selling it for £299.99 ... that's a £700 saving off the RRP guys!!!!!!!!!!!'

So let's strip all the guff away. What you're selling us is a £299.99 watch.

Jeez ...
