As somebody who worked with disabled people for some years, I will never forget some of those presenters feigning limps with those ghastly plastic canes, An absolute disgrace, and an insult to disabled people in general.

There was a tv prog on a few years back re extreme hoarders. They went into the house of one such person (an older lady who had died) and the house was literally crammed with stuff floor to ceiling. In one room you could see copious amounts of crafting stuff, and I mean COPIOUS amounts ... all of it unopened.

Most likely bought from one of the crafting selly telly channels.

I watch those extreme hoarders programmes, I have a morbid fascination with them. One of the American subjects hoarded jewellery bought from shopping channels. The expert was vocal, she was ranting at the channels that sold worthless junk but claimed it was incredibly valuable so people bought tons of it.

In this instance it obviously wasn't the only thing she hoarded but there were hundreds of boxes piled high. None of it looked like it had ever been taken out of the box as it was pretty inaccessible.

The medical profession are baffled, but have provisionally named this condition shoppingtellysnakeoilsalesperson-itis. PS: these conditions are Emu Balsam and Collagen resistant.

I'd be worried if I saw Pedro lifting his leg - particularly if there was a tree close by.

Thomas Tompion is like Earnshaw, long dead British clockmaker's name being used by folks supplying overpriced Chinese made watches, looking at their web site, look to be on a par quality wise with Earnshaw watches.

Looks a perfect fit with Ideal World.

Talking of reviving old makers names how about Sewills, they used to be the Admiralty's choice?

Agree with you there. I don’t have a driving licence or a passport so it does cause a few problems. A while back tried to get set up electronically with my GP surgery so I could book appointments etc on line. Ended up taking my passport that expired in 1995, OAP bus pass and two utility bills before they’d authorise it. I hasten to add I’ve been a patient with them for over 50years!

Mind you if we could get digital ids, they’d probably need a copy of Driving licence or current passport to issue it!

My Depression has mainly, been because of Migration of Benefits, and they stopped my benefits, as I didn’t have a Driving License etc.

But I just got a call saying Benefits are sorted after my GP contacted them saying I was Cincally depressed shouldn’t have needed that

I really sympathise with you there - my son, who is autistic, deaf and partially sighted has to migrate across as well - it’s caused no end of difficulties
