On my way back home today. I haven't looked at the forum or on YouTube whilst away as the people I was with don't know my guilty secret, doubt they watch selly telly at all!

I hope I haven't missed much, I'll have to catch up with the posts on here to find out what's been going on.

Jazzy, I hope you kept up the standards of decorum Galesgal57 and myself are known for😇

And Duke, luckily I didn't see the above picture of the dancers as I may have had nightmares😵‍💫🤣

Bruges was great and looked very Christmassy. And the hotel had a very reasonably priced bar😊

Hammy was the decorum, he had a thing about Pedros Crusty Shorts

Wonder if the knowledgable forum members who know a thing or two about quality watches (not the tat that IW sell) could tell me some good options for a present for my hubby. Me and my kids are going to club together and want to get him a decent watch for his birthday. It’s a few months away but want to start looking now. My budget is around £500. Have been looking at Tissot but any recommendations would be very much appreciated 😊
Yep. Tissot would be a great option. Have a little look at Hamilton as well - around now if you search TKMaxx for watches, you’ll find some great deals on Hamilton, and sometimes Tissot and Certina.
Longines are a little pricier, but TKMaxx have some at very reasonable prices.
You can get a good mechanical watch from any of those brands within your budget, and so long long at its serviced every 5-10 years, it’ll last forever. Servicing will cost around £200, though.
Happy hunting!

Citizen Eco-Drive - swear by them..
Fantastic product. So long as you want quartz they’re very good indeed. Need to keep it well charged - the recharging can fail after 5-10 years otherwise. I just leave mine in a watch box with a glass top on a window sill in the back. Done like that, you can get 20 years plus from them before needing to change it. Citizen dealers can all do it as well, but they usually send them away to do it.

Clearly you can drop the words 'inspired by' in and pretty much say anything, this bottle of toilet duck pine fresh, inspired by Creed - Green Irish Tweed.
On ‘the office’ (US) Creed said he smells of death and ‘old man’, because he grows mung beans in his desk drawer.
Don’t suppose that was the effect IW were going for…..
🤣

Did one of you say the Gammon company’s gone bust

I don’t understand how a company making something so good and in demand can go bust. Every time it’s on air it sells out. Masonic Mike raves about it (and he’s an expert on fragrances). Foghorn has just said that it is IWs biggest selling fragrance and was going to sell out again. I wonder what went wrong.😊

Be honest, if IW are connected with it, it's bound to be dodgy. Any company with credibility wouldn't wish to be associated with such an outfit.

Oh what fun we are all having in here! Had a little sabbatical as IW was doing my head in. Really couldn’t take much more as it was affecting my mental health so much that I started to believe things the presenters were saying . They just kept repeating the same old lines time after time after time after time😴😴😴😴😴..
Like torture from a dripping tap,you will say or believe anything just to make them stop!!!

Anyway,a few days ago Mason was flogging a real leather(wow) wallet! It had the ‘iconic’ William Hunt name stamped there on and ‘Savile Row’.
He kept on and on and on and on…all about the name and Savile Row bit.
He tried to compare IW price with said W.Hunt but said W.Hunt hadn’t got any for sale so couldn’t do a comparison! Shame! NOT..

Regarding the illustrious William Hunt and Savile Row please look below(those of a nervous disposition please avert your eyes as this pic shows their current London ‘shop’ courtesy of Google street view)..
Unit 10 is where they operate from. No probs with that, but Savile Row it ain’t.

William Hunt did actually have a shop in Savile Row but according to the Interweb this is now permanently closed.
They may sell very fine goods but my take on this is that a leather wallet costing I think circa £70 should be one of the best but it looked very ordinary and let’s be fair one could stamp anything on a piece of leather..
