Yes, she is -
The Fizz is Cheryl, Jay Aston and Mike Nolan (who's said to be leaving at the end of 2024, feeling it's time to hang up his mic). They're a 3 piece rather than a 4 piece.
While Bobby G's
Bucks Fizz may have had the name, but stop bothering to tour in 2018 given they only had 1 original member and a never-ending string of nonentities (do I include David Van Day in that?
) in the line up ever since.
Hard to compete with
The Fizz since them having actual original members means they get the TV gigs, bagged a record deal in 2010, have had 2 top 30 albums since then, appearances on BBC Radio 2, The One Show, get to perform at the Eurovision events, etc.
Which probably makes Cheryl Baker a Bucks Fizz
record breaker since she's the only one who's been consistently in the original and the 'real' version of the band (despite not having the name) the longest.
(If anyone actually gets that joke, thank you
)
Also, I should probably watch more Ideal World and read fewer Buck Fizz wikipedia articles. Despite sounding like a fan, I can only name about 3 of their songs
